I'm just a fan of magnum research from baby eagle to desert eagle

I am very impressed with this little gun, excellent trigger, very solid feel, totally reliable. The Magnum Research branded Baby Eagle II features a slide mounted decocking safety (like the Beretta 92 series) while the IWI marked gun features a frame mounted safety and no decocker. I tend the prefer the frame mounted safety but IWI doesn't appear to import the compact versions of the gun. I can live with the slide mounted controls, it just isn't my preference. Magazine capacity is actually 13+1 rather than the listed 12+1 and any CZ75 factory or MecGar magazine will work (though many will stick out the bottom of the grip to one extent or another). I would imagine other brands of CZ75 pattern magazines would also function but I have only tried IWI, CZ-USA, and MecGar branded magazines in mine. Since it has a steel frame this gun is heavy but that makes it very durable and fun to shoot. Highly recommended.

Well what can I say... This is my 3rd Magnum Research Baby Eagle. All 3 of my Beagles are outstanding!! This one alone stands out of the pack as far as Size.. Weight.. Conceal ability.. Recoil.. u get all of what u pay for and then some!! The triggers on these stock pistols are hands down one if not the best trigger one can get on a pistol under $600. I have found myself to start to collect these Baby Eagles after about 6yr ago got the 4.5" all steel 9mm and shot smooth as silk. Thought was because the weight of pistol. Was in part correct. Then I did more research and found that they have a lower bore axis then alot of pistols. Full rails on the steel models allows for less recoil. Ergonomics of the pistol has alot to do with the soft shooting of the Beagles!! I own the 3.5" and the 4.5" steel models in 9mm and a poly Baby Eagle 2 in 40 cal. Again poly of steel FANTASTIC firearms!! These are to me one of the most under rated pistols in their class. I also understand reviews made for my gun of choice can potentially skyrocket the price! Don't miss out on these Baby Eagle 2 as the new Baby Eagle 3 is now the most available models and yet to own a Beagle 3 to compair. Can only imagine that the other reviews for the 3's are as true as mine is. Some people call this a clone and other guns have been clone like. I look at all firearms as individuals as u can buy 2 of the same exact firearm and they preform different. Nothing but positive things to say about my experiences with the Baby Eagles. This 3.5" 9mm has preformed flawless with 0 cleaning and 300 rounds down range. Time to shine up and take another trip to the range! AS FAR AS BUDS WILL NOT FORGET TO MENTION THEIR GREATNESS!! Solid construction, very well built and has a nice heft to it. Shoots very well and due to the weight and caliber the recoil is minimal. Thinking about purchasing another to use as a truck gun.

The action of this pistol was outstanding. 225 rounds and not a hiccup right out of the box. The accuracy, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. Point of Impact was 6 - 6.5" lower than the Point of Aim. I called Magnum Research and they sent me a shipping label to return the weapon to them for evaluation. I shipped the weapon on 03-SEP-14 and called them on 16-SEP-14 to check on status. They are shipping a new pistol to my FFL and it is scheduled for 19-SEP-14 delivery. I asked about the reimbursement for the new transfer fee and NICS check and they stated to send a copy of the receipt. High Marks for Magnum Research customer service. Will post follow-up on new pistol after a range trip. Like everything about this pistol except the accuracy so have high hopes for the replacement.
