This one is my go to for any outdoors activity through the woods. Built like a tank and I'm confident in its ability to defend against anything the Alaskan wild has to throw. It is not too heavy for what it is.

This revolver is everything I hoped it would be, a bonified Hand cannon. Despite what you would think of the 454 Casuel round, the recoil was not that bad. This is due to the substantial weight of the gun and how Taurus has built the weapon like a tank. I live in the country so firing in my back yard was the right place to take it for a test drive. The gun is surprisingly accurate within about 25-30 yards. The fit and lock up of the cylinder were excellent due to the dual locking levers on the front and rear of the cylinder. Fully loaded the gun is not a lightweight and good luck finding a holster. But the gun looks great. Oh yeah when you shoot things like a cantaloupe it makes them evaporate.

Dealing with Buds as always was great. There were some things I didnt like about this revolver, so I sold it. I replaced it with a S&W 460 XVR from Buds.

Taurus does it again in my 454 Cas! This is my Alaskan black ops right on my hip along with my 30-06. At 100yds my MOA's were 3-4 inches apart simply with my iron sights. Who needs an SW 500? Honestly, not me. One handed a slight recoil but nothing I can't bring back to target almost instantly. Powerfull and sweet. She just becomes a part of you. In tune with her is true music. A keeper at a great price from Buds. Enjoy! In God We Trust!!

This gun is a BEAST!!!!! Absolutely, enjoy shooting this one. The recoil is definitelly there but it is manageable with the right pair of gloves. Thanks for everything Bud's!!!!!

This was my third purchase from buds and as always buds did not disappoint. Gun arrived quickly and looks and performs fantastic. The finish on this weapon is not as good as one on a Smith & Wesson but I knew that before ordering. But the build and fit is fantastic. A great buy for someone that wants a hand cannon at a reasonable price.
