Are they slimmer than a standard grip or about the same?

Can't find anywhere showing the thickness of these but I'd imagine they are pretty close to the same thickness as the standard grips. Hope this helps.

AA107 Grip Panels are constructed of aluminum with a diamond checkering pattern to provide secure grip on a 1911 pistol. The combination of a lightweight aluminum alloy and a Mil-Spec hard anodized finish provides a grip that will withstand harsh use in extreme conditions. Fits all standard full size Government model 1911 frames. Minor fitting may be required on some pistols.
