Hi, my indoor shooting range does not allow shooting steel, is it just the casing that is steel?

Michael, no Sir. This ammunition has a projectile that features a bimetal jacket (contains steel and copper) and a lead core and of course a Steel Case. It is not suitable for range shooting.

My range wont allow ammo that has steel in the bullet, I know some ammo uses steel in the jackets. They basically take the ammo and touch it to a magnet to check it.

Thomas, The jacket is steel coated by copper. Tula and other Russian, Serbian and Ukraine manufactured ammo may use these bimetal bullets. Bimetal means 2 metals… steel and copper. The bullet jacket is made from a soft steel and then coated with one of more layers of copper. These round will not pass magnet test.

I ran a lot of these rounds through two AR’s. They shoot well, after a few hundred rounds the barrel gets dirty and casing won’t eject. A quick barrel cleaning and your back in action. Very happy

Purchased 1100 rds for the free shipping - Fired off close to 200rds 1st time out & my Ruger 556 pistol ate em up like a fat kid eating cake. 96% of the rounds landed at the 5 oclock.
If I shoot the whole case without issue I'll use these for self defense as well. A hot rock is a hot rock - just need reliability.
