I love this gun got it a while ago but I use it for deer hunting here in wi. Smallest caliber you can use here it has to be 22 caliber with a center fire primer. Accurate out to 150 yards with a 5 shot group of .75" but the farthest shot I shoot is maybe 50 yards. I was tired of ruining a lot of meat after the shot. Now the last 4 years shoot them in the head and waste no meat. I just love this gun.

My 527 22 hornet wasn't accurate because of a bad crown. CZ asked me to send it in for warranty when I contacted them. It didn't pass their accuracy test so they offered to replace it. I asked them if I could have a newer model Eurovarmint .223 527. That's what they sent me with gorgeous wood. Customer service called me to ask if I was happy:YES. It is the most accurate and beautiful rifle I have owned in my 70 plus years. It now has about 1,200 rounds through it. It regularly shoots 1/2 moa or better. The set trigger makes it easy to shoot well. I called heart shot on a deer 160 paces away and made it. The deer only ran 60 yards. The cancelation of the 527 series is a huge disappointment to me.

Like the description says, its a Mauser type action that has been slightly shrunk. Like most CZ rifles, the wood is a decent Turkish walnut, a cut above most in this price range.Fit is OK, action is a little on the rough side, smoothed a little after a few hundred rounds. The set trigger is a GREAT feature. With careful handloads got just a fraction over 1" groups at 100Y. Handloaders though have to single load anything much longer than spec OAL.

I always wanted a CZ in 22 hornet. I ordered this rifle on a Wednesday night and it was at my FFL dealer the next Wednesday morning. opened the box and my dream came true!!! Absolutely the most beautiful wood I've ever had, almost as if was hand picked for me. mounted a scope on her and in 4 shots I could hit nickels at 100 yards no problem. I absolutely love this rifle!!! Thank you Buds for the best deal on this fine rifle.. look forward to the next one.. Kevin **** Buds (absolutely the best price)!!!
