Who needs a Ruger rifle in 416 caliber ? There are no elephants,rhinos,cape buffalo, hippos or Nile crocodiles roaming around America.One great thing about America and gun ownership, is that we can buy the guns that we want, they don't have to be practical.The Ruger is a very good rifle, handy, compact, solid, weatherproof and life insurance for any dangerous game in the world,including North American Grizzly bear, rutting bull Moose,Kodiak and Polar bear,Bison and the occasional 3 or 4 wolves that just happened to line up just right.The 416 Ruger has a 400 grain bullet, solid or softnpass bullets, loaded by Hornady, with advertised velocities of 2400 fps mv.These Ruger rifles are discontinued, but they are a great buy. A comparable 416 Remington magnum or 416 Rigby rifle would cost from twice to many times more money.This rifle is worth having just as a fun gun, conversation piece, overpowered deer/bear/elk/ hog rifle.The Hornady ammo costs much less than the other 416 calibers.Any animal that would require a 458 Winchester magnum would be killed just as dead with the 416 Ruger.Best value gun purchase that I have made since I first gun in 1973.I recommend it and certify it as effective against aliens and dinosaurs as well. This was another of those "once I saw it I knew I had to have it " guns. Matte stainless, compact, big bore, and a Ruger. Very fast shipping to my FFL. What a jewel: really slick action, "grippy" stock even when wet, comes to my shoulder and points like it was custom built just for me. Very useful recoil pad considering the caliber; this boy's a thumper! If the above description fits what you need, look no further. Plus, Bud's price is as competitive as any I've seen to date, to include Gun Broker. Highly recommended.

Rare rifle to find available! Buds has the best pricing on rifles anywhere I have seen, period! (this is my 5th purchase from Buds)--And I search pretty exhaustively online, since I collect hunting rifles. Even lower than Gun Broker and other auction sites I frequent.... Great service, fairly speedy, and even better pricing! :)) I just want them to offer a 460 Wby for under $1500... then I would push for Bud to be Secretary of Commerce in any administration!! :)) TK
