The Model 700 VLS (Varmint Laminated Stock) delivers tack-driving, varmint rifle accuracy with a handsome, resin-impregnated, laminated stock. Includes Monte Carlo cheek piece, and a wide, flat, beaver tail shape fore-end for enhanced stability.
The rigid Model 700 action is mated with a vibration-dampening 26" heavy varmint barrel. All metal has a richly blued, fine satin finish.

I’m a long time Remington 700 fan, and this one did not disappoint. It’s a very accurate rifle right out of the box. I wasn’t sure about the laminated stock but it has grown on me. I had to relieve the battle channel slightly to Let the barrel fully float. The weak link is the factory trigger — I couldn’t adjust it low enough so I added a Jewell which makes the rifle about perfect. This won’t be the last 700 I buy!

I am extremely pleased with this rifle. It's a well-built unit that looks even better when I'm holding it. On it's first range trip, after mounting the scope, at 100 yards on a breezy day, using Hornady 32g Superformance rounds, I put 5 rounds (my second group) in a .875" group. It's a better gun than I am a shooter. It arrived at my FFL location as scheduled and in good shape, and I'm very happy with the price I paid. This is my first purchase fro Bud's, but I can promise I'll definitely be buying from Bud's again.
