I am very happy with my purchase.The S&W 1911 pistol is extremely solid and tight and the craftsmanship is exceptional throughout the pistol.I would recommend this pistol to anyone who is looking for a 1911 model .

It’s a nice looking firearm.
However, when I got gun home and took it out of the box the Magazine Catch literally fell out onto the floor In pieces and I wasn’t able to find the backside of it. I see that Quality Control Isn’t Job One at S & W. At least S&W is Consistant.

Bought this gun to compliment a Pro Series 9mm I picked up earlier this year. I was disappointed with the Novak sights, only because the red on the rear and front really are overwhelming. Probably my own fault, but I will be switching over to some kind of target sights. When adjusting elevation, don't get frustrated as it seems the elevation adjustments get hung up on the fiber optic sights in the rear, I had to actually remove the optics, make adjustments and then trim the optics down a bit. The pistol is dang nice looking and the accuracy was ok, hoping the trigger lightens up after putting more rounds down range. I would buy this gun again; however, I would have preferred the Smith & Wesson sights that were on my 9mm Pro Series.

Firearm is exactly what I expected!! Slide is like glass, trigger breaks like a glass rod and overall feel in the hand is substantial!!

This is one of the most accurate autos I have shot to date and it is a regular occurrence to put bullets through the same whole at 25 yards. The fit and finish are phenomenal and it is a very well crafted piece. With that being said, I had an issue with light primer strikes right out of the box with all types of ammo. I highly doubt this is typical of S&W and if you do happen to have a problem, they will fix it for free. The novak 3 dot fiber optic sights are nice, but the front dot tends to dim after a lot of rounds due to powder blast. This can be a problem if you plan on using the gun for practical shooting. Overall, I love the gun, but I had to give it 4 stars because of the light striking issue.

This is the perfect 1911 to add to your collection if you're looking for an appealing well crafted weapon. When I opened the box, I was very impressed at its craftsman ship. It's very striking. I took it to the range and put 100 rounds through it with no problems. I have tried other 1911s in the past and they took several hundred rounds to fully break them in and for the jamming to stop. I can honestly say, this model functioned flawlessly right out of the box. The gun is worth the price, will by more S&Ws in the future.
