You can't build an effective and correct handgun without first knowing and talking to the actual shooter. That has always been a Smith & Wesson trademark...we listen. Smith & Wesson, the first and most respected manufacturer for womens' handguns has designed LadySmith™ small frame revolvers because we believe that women should have the power to defend themselves...and that power is best found in a Smith & Wesson.

The Smith & Wesson J-Frame has become the most popular small frame personal defense revolver on the market. With decades of reliable performance to its credit, the J-frame line offers models capable of firing .22 LR, .22 Magnum®, .38 S&W Special and the more powerful .357 Magnum® loads.  Smith & Wesson offers these revolvers from our production, M&P, Pro Series, and Classics lines in three diverse hammer designs; internal, exposed and shrouded.

I bought this gun for my wife who is new to shooting. She wanted something kind of flashy so this was a good choice, it has that chromed look with the nice rosewood grips. Being a LEO I'm kind of particular about guns so I had to test it out before I let my rely on it for her personal safety.

I put several 50 round boxes of .38's through it and was very impressed. Of course you have the quality of a S&W and the reliability of a revolver. It was suprisingly accurate for such a small gun. I was putting all five rounds in or around the bullseye at approximately 15 yards. It handles the .38's great but the .357 Mags pack one heck of a punch in this little gun.

Once I gave it to my wife she took a liking to it and is now very protective of it. Which means I never get to shoot it haha. I kinda wish I could have brought two of them. It's a great revolver and would make a good little backup gun on duty. And for those of you who are put off by the "Lady Smith" engraved on the side, get over it. It looks snappy and shoots the .38's for the ladies but you drop some .357 Mags in it and theres nothing lady like about it. Both guys and gals will love shooting this one.

Buds was great as usual.

This pistol was everything that I was expecting. I bought it for my wife as simply a quick response weapon. It is easy to handle with a light trigger. My wife had no issues firing it both single and double action but preferred the double action because of the light trigger. We have not shot any 357 mag through it yet but it shoots wonderful with the .38 sp. I was also very surprised by how accurate it was. I was able to hit all black with a couple of center shots at 40 feet on a 12 inch target. Of course this pistol is really more of a point and shoot at close range firearm so how accurate does it really need to be?

This revolver shoots very nicely and is very accurate considering the non-adjustable rear sight. The gun is beautifully made and the smooth grip is gorgeous. However, .357 Magnum shooting requires a very firm grip due to the power and slick-ness of the grip. When shooting .38 Special, it's a perfectly fun plinker.
