The Solar Elite Lifetime feeder offers all of the same great lifetime features available in the Elite feeder with the added benefit of an integrated, wraparound, high impact solar panel to charge the included gel cell battery. This feeder gives you a lifetime of hunting without the lifetime of battery changes. It features all aluminum housing construction and a waterproof design with the LCD in the base. The 6V high torque feeder motor has three speeds. The programmable LCD lets you customize feedings: 1 to 6 times per day with durations of 1 to 30 seconds. The universal mounting allows the Solar Elite feeder to fit most hoppers.

The biggest benefit, it works. Not having to change batteries, worrying if the feeder has died and not throwing corn, or buying a separate solar panel and mounting it is a big pay off. The functions are easy to set and it mounts easy to your barrel. Having the ability to set motor speeds is neat also. I have bear problems so mine hangs high. Setting the motor so it doesn't throw so far holds the game longer when they don't have to look so hard for the feed. The biggest gripe I have. They need to include the varmit guard with it. Didn't think about it until I had it in and realized it doesn't have one. The guard also needs to cover the whole unit. My fear is, that when a squirrel hangs off the unit trying to get corn they will damage the solar panel. They will be hanging on to it as well. Hasn't been in long but these are my thoughts. Good hunting!
