My wife is a country girl and specifically told me that she wanted this model from Bond Arms because it looked at home in an old west saloon. I bought it for her for Christmas this year and I know she's going to have the biggest grin when she opens it. The quality of Bond Arms guns is beyond reproach. In an age of polymer frames, it's nice to hold a small piece of wood and steel in your hands. The only reason I gave this gun 4 stars (which would be 4.5 stars if that was an option) is the hammer. It's heavy and awkward to cock because it has to be due to the design. I already know my wife won't like to shoot it more than a box at a time. Other than that, I'm already thinking I may end up taking it myself the next time I have to run to the corner store and don't feel like wearing my EDC.

I bought this derringer in 2014, and am writing this in 2017. I love this "little in the middle but it got much back," 45 long colt/.410 derringer. I love how it is easily concealable. I have been shooting this gun for quite some time now; easy to shoot, easy to clean, and easily concealed. I bought the sticky holster, and a belt holster for more ammo; I know some might think the amount of ammo that you can shoot with this derringer is a drawback but I think that it is perfect for me. I have had no issues with shooting this derringer. It has performed so consistently, I have had no issue present itself that could tarnish my confidence in this gun performing when I need it to. With the size of this derringer, and length of barrel; I think that the shooter has to be more diligent when shooting at distances of 10 yards or more. I know that that is not a typical "expected" range for a gun like this, but I added it to the regiment. I have been practicing for a while with mine, enjoying every minute of it; and I found early on that a little more attention to the aim when I was shooting at 10 yards or more was very helpful to make it faster as I practiced. Practice is so important, safely; and I really love this purchase.

The quality of this weapon is top notch. The trigger pull is heavy, but manageable, exactly what you want in a gun without a trigger guard. Shooting PDX1 .410 shells is an absolute blast. The firepower is just devastating and accuracy is possible within reasonable SD distances. My wife who is 5' and 100 pounds can handle the recoil just fine, although she doesn't enjoy shooting Long Colts. I'm a large guy with good size hands and I can get a grip on it fairly well, but I am inclined to order the larger grips from Bond to make it even more pleasant to shoot and because their grips are just downright handsome. This is a gun I am proud to own and will be proud to hand down---once I'm dead and gone. I'm keeping it 'till then.

AWESOME! That pretty much wraps it up. This gun is so fun to shoot and is a great quality firearm. Although the grip is short it does have some width to it which makes it pretty easy to hold on to. I was even able to one hand it. This gun loaded with some 410 self defense rounds is going to be my new pocket pistol. Also, Buds was great as usual. I ordered it on a Monday and had it in my hand on Thursday. Great job buds

Excellent little gun! It's the real deal in Derringers, very good quality, all stainless steel. Perfect pocket size although a little heavy, but I don't think you can fix that without changing materials and sacrificing qualily. I thought because of the big caliber and small handle, the gun would fly of my hand when shooting, but it didn't, although, I would recomend practice a while to get use to it. Great little back up gun!.
