At 5″ tall with a barrel length of just under 4″, the Compact model shaves a little more than 3/4″ off the length and about 1/2″ off the height of the full-size CZ 75. Its reduced size allows it to readily disappear under regular clothing. The CZ 75 DA/SA action with a manual safety lever provides the user with two options for carry: hammer-back with the safety on for single action operation or manually decocked for a double action first shot with no need to remember to take off the safety before firing. Because the 75 Compact retains the steel frame of the original 75, only 2.4 oz of weight is lost, making it the softest-shooting compact in the CZ 75 line.

Ordered on Sun night and picked it up on Thursday. Took it home and gave it a decent cleaning and lube. Went to the range on Sat. It fired 100 rounds of my reloads with no malfunctions. The point of impact was about 2" high but centered left to right.
The finish was even and without blemishes. The insides had no dramatic tool marks or any other cosmetic issues.
The single action trigger broke at 5.5 pounds with a good bit of creep. The double action trigger is way over 10 pounds but smooth and predictable. The factory sights are useable but not suited to my tastes.

If you buy one of these little guns but want a better trigger and sights, Cajun Gun Works is your friend. So far I have just replaced the grips with VZ and replaced the sights with Cajun Gun Works fixed rear and FO front. It now hits 1/2" high of the point of aim (great for me) and the trigger is cleaning itself up a bit in single action (after about 400 rounds). I think I will put a 15 pound main spring in it at a minimum to lighten-up the double action pull.

If you like the 75/85 but want something just a little smaller, this is the ticket.

Pros: Build quality, ergos- feels/points great in hand (small - 7 inch hand size -palm base to middle finger), easy to shoot well, feels like a durable hangun that will last

Cons: Photo-luminescent sights (glow after hit with bright light) are ok, a bit heavy for its size.
Your options for holsters, sights, and accessories are a bit more limited as compared to more popular handguns

Obviously research this gun as it is not for everyone. If you are looking for a good DA/SA gun and aren't worried about weight too much, buy it.

A note if you plan to carry. This model is DA/SA, however the only decocking method is to manually ride the hammer forward (there is a half-cock and the gun will fire from half-cock). Cocked and locked is a viable method. Manual safety does not function without the hammer back.

In my case I ordered the firearm on Sunday evening and it was delivered to my Illinois FFL dealer Thursday afternoon.

Bought this little pistol for 3 main reasons. Reason 1 as a cheaper way to shoot because 9mm is cheaper than 45 and I am a 1911 fanatic. Also the safety mechanism on the 75B works just like a 1911 safety so if I am training with this pistol I am training with the same safety release. Reason 2 was another option for conceal carry. this is smaller than a full size 1911, and just a tad smaller than a 1911 commander size. I has weight due to the all steel construction but that weight decision was for reason 3. Third reason was I wanted a pistol I could use to assist in training my wife and some of her female friends. Women tend to be a little recoil shy and this CZ has very little recoil and the grip fits everyone's hands very well. Have not met anybody that says they do not like the grip. Buds is the best place to Buy guns online... PERIOD!

Thanks again
AJ

I own several CZ's including another compact the PCR model and as far as I am concerned there is no finer 9mm in the business. Oh Yeah, the late great Gun Guru Jeff Cooper said the CZ was the best service 9 he had ever seen, I agree !

When it comes to prices and customer service Bud's is also one of the best. Thanks Guys
