Great gun, easy to operate, fits my hand well

Wasn't sure what to expect when i got this 4 years ago but i recently started shooting it more and it is a solid shooter. Too heavy for a daily carry but for range its awesome. I did change the grips out and put night sights on it. Becoming a CZ fan.

These pistols are a little big for what they are. I have fairly small hands and the reach is a little long for the double action trigger. None the less, I really like the pistol.
It is accurate and reliable.

It happens to be my favorite pistol. It's absolutely beautiful, and yet when I started shooting it I had lots of misfires. It would only accept Remington 115 grain. Anything else was a torture. YouTube saved me. I found out lots of other CZ owners were having the same issue, and the cure was to install an extended firing pin. Now the gun is flawless. By the way I wasted my time sending it to CZ. They're response was that the gun was dandy. I also wasted money with a local gunsmith. The latter charged me $130 for telling me the same thing. I bought the extended firing pin at Cajun. They provide great service.

Excellent handgun, feels good in my hand, accurate, easy to assemble and disassemble, fired several hundred rounds through it to include +P+ hollow points with no problem. I like the ambidextrous features because I shoot handgun with my left hand also. I can fire the pistol one-handed and the trigger pull is light enough that a second hand is not really required to hold on target. I was hitting silhouette targets one-handed at 25 yards with good accuracy. My daughter fired it, liked it and she went on bought herself one too. Only drawback is the slide release is a bit beyond the reach of my thumb so I have to either use a second hand to release the slide or shift my grip to press down the slide release. Regardless, I'm planning on buying a second one once they are back in stock.

Ordered my CZ-85b two years ago and it still works great I highly recommend this gun to anyone, also buds delivered fast from what I can remember!

Received my CZ85 B quickly (customer service and delivery are NEVER a problem when dealing with Buds!) and my initial impression is that it's an OK firearm, not great machine work and the finish is so-so, I certainly expected more from a handgun at this price point. I disassembled and cleaned it, and took it to the range to see how it runs. Put 200 rounds through it and had 10 failures to fire. Would pull the trigger, hammer would drop, and NOTHING! Pulled trigger again to see if it would fire on the second strike, and the trigger would not budge. Ejected unfired rounds (thought maybe it was an issue with the primers) but there were no strike marks on the primers. Reloaded the rounds and they would fire the second time through. Took it home and called CZ, they sent me a prepaid return label and had me ship it back to them in Kansas City for inspection. After about 2 weeks I received it back with a vague explanation about adjusting the bore or something and that it was now OK. I have not since fired it and do not plan to keep it as I cannot trust my or my family's safety to something that doesn't work as it should. I have never had this issue with any other firearms I own, Glock, Colt, Kahr, S&W, and even Taurus.

Have wanted another CZ for a while. Used to own a P-01, sold it. Never knew how good I had it until I tried several other brands...as far as BUDS goes..i ordered on a Wednesday night, picked up Monday afternoon. Very happy about the time and price, and money I saved over buying locally. This is my 4th purchase from buds and quite happy. Onto the gun....it came covered in grease from the factory. As to be expected from CZ. Dissasembly is same as a CZ 75, but the ambi slide lock makes it a little harder to push out the pin. No worries. There are a few scratches and tool marks inside the frame. Not very noticeable unless u are searching...slide was perfect. No tool marks anywhere. Its amazing how tight the fit is in these pistols! Ud think it was a les bear! The double action trigger is heavy..it has a little take up and creep, but is predictable. Single action is wonderful. I like the idea of the de-cocker versions... But then the triggers on those are not as nice. There is a noticable difference between the two models and for me..trigger is everything.. And this is more of a range gun so the better trigger was a no brained. The black polycoat finish is deep and beautiful and can't be appreciated through a picture. I was expecting there to be front strap serrations on this pistol, and the vertical ones on the back strap. There are none. Its smooth all around. Guess its not exactly like a 75. I was expecting those but not a deal breaker. Most cz's have that ugly blue box that comes with the weird paper box.. This one did not. It actually came in a very nice black box with gold colored hinges...and its a nice box with some heft to it. Not chincy. Many people are skeptical of buying a gun online they havnt yet fondled... But that's the beauty of it. Unlike other buyers buds does not open these boxes. No one and no customers are fondling the gun before you buy it. I have purchased a few from other online dealers that arrived with broken safties. And u came to understand smaller gunshops that sell online are taking that gun from the showcase everyone else has already played with and shipping it to you. When u buy from buds you are the first person to hold it from the factory and I love that very much. I will be sleeping next to a Czech beauty tonight no one else has fondled yet! Thanks buds!

I am very satisfied with this pistol. CZ quality has to be experienced to be believed. This is my second 85, I also own the Combat model. The ambidextrous safety and slide release are a big plus for me. Out-of-the-box accuracy is outstanding, no further modifications are necessary.

Received my CZ 85 in about a week from the order date. Took it to the range today. I have ten 9 mm handguns and I would rank this one in the top 3 or 4. Pleasant to shoot, good accuracy and easy maintenance, (cleaning). I would recommend the gun.
