Has a new shooter I took my time and did alot of research before buying a 9mm,I didn`t want to go down the polymer router,a nice solid all steel frame handgun with a bit of weight to it,the cz85 did not dissapoint. Finish is quality,action and trigger are smooth out of the box and will get even better with time,put about 100 rds threw it at the outdoor range,gun ran flawless and with me been new to handguns it was easy to shoot. Happy to hit targets at 50ft. Before shooting I stripped and cleaned the gun of factory grease. Very Happy.

Our 85 Combat is the most accurate centerfire handgun in our fairly extensive collection. This might be because it's grip fits my hand better than just about anything else too, especially after I added a Hogue finger-groove grip. With this grip, the pistol almost mind-melds to my hand. Fit and finish is very good, with the exception of the barrel. The outside of the barrel looks like it was made in a third-world country, but thankfully this didn't translate to the inside. Stripping is easy, but not nearly as quick as the polymers such as Glock or XD. DA trigger pull is average. SA pull is good, but not great. Pull weight is only 4lbs. 8oz., but the second stage does have some creep. However, not bad enough to make me want to get it worked on. The bore sits low in the hand, and the slide does not have nearly as much mass as that of a Sig or XD. Be aware that this double-action pistol does not have a de-cocker. If you chamber a round and you aren't going to shoot it, then you have to put it on safe. If you don't want to leave it cocked and locked, then don't chamber a round. Overall, a wonderful pistol that to me sits in the hand better than most other sidearm-sized handguns. Can't find any reason to deduct any stars, so five it is......
