The CZ 75 SP-01 is the first full size handgun from CZ to feature the improved ergonomics of the NATO-approved CZ 75 Compact P-01 model. Based on the CZ 75 DA/SA platform, the SP-01 features an integral 1913 accessory rail on the dust cover, rubber grip panels and CZ's corrosion resistant black polycoat finish. It utilizes an extended beavertail to protect the shooter's strong hand as well as allowing for a deeper and more secure grip. The grip geometry, checkering in key areas on the front and back straps, and redistribution of mass provided by the accessory rail noticeably decreases the perceived recoil from previous models and allows for more rapid target acquisition and transition.

Transaction as usual went very smoothly. CZ makes a fine firearm and it preforms flawlessly. Just heavy enough to tame recoil. Very accurate right out the box. My only complaint and the reason for four stars is that the night sights are nonexistent on my pistol. I don't know if it's age or what but in pitch black you can't see any glow from the front or rear sights.

A quality pistol. Nice crisp trigger, good balance, minimal felt recoil. With about 700 rds through it I have experienced no problems whatsoever; no FTF, FTE, etc. I have found the tritium night sights particularly nice, also.

I did my homework: asked many experts, watch tons reviews, tried different models, did all my paperwork and after a few months, I decided to finally buy my first handgun. I am so very happy and satisfied with this purchase. I have nothing but good things to say about the CZ75 SP-01, it is surprisingly good especially for the price. Put in 500 rounds in it and spit it out like nothing! It is as good as they say it is. This set the bar extremely high for my next handgun if I ever decide to get another one. I cant wait to go back to the range, this gun is so fun to shoot! If you have done some shooting with this gun, you know what I am talking about, if you have not, you're missing out!

Have shot and owned everything from 1911's to Browning High Powers and most everything inbetween.... Yet these CZ's are impossible to beat for reliablility and accuracy. After widdling gown my collection I am down to 2-CZ SP01's a CZ Shadow 2 and a nervous Browning and a Tristar T-100. With only the CZ's I would be content. Nothing else needed or that can compare. Buy one and see.

I’ve had it for a couple of weeks. First day, I took it right out of the box and put 300 rounds through it with zero issues. I used a healthy mixture of FMJ and JHP from cheap steel cased, defensive steel cased, and typical brass cased cartridges. I’ve since given it an abbreviated cleaning and lubricating and put 500 more rounds through it without any issues. From my understanding, SP-01’s (manual safety and tactical) ship out with Tru Dot night sights now and the one I received was no exception - awesome surprise. Inside the frame doesn’t really have an even coating like the matte (polycoat?) on the outside - this is something that seems to be pretty typical from watching online reviews. Trigger is pretty smooth in both actions there’s a tiny amount of creep in single action from the point when the sear lifts until it’s edge reaches the edge of the hammer hooks then it is a very crisp break. The value of this firearm is amazing given its credentials and build quality. The curved trigger shape doesn’t bother me, the slide serrations are like grabbing cooling fins on a radiator or an air conditioner (excellent traction), it’s definitely more accurate than I am, recoil is tame, and the all steel weight is solid and enjoyable. I like it so much, I don’t know why, but it makes me want to buy another one.
