The Kimber legacy of offering the finest production firearms available today continues with the Solo®, a new pistol that puts the power of the 9 mm cartridge in a micro-compact size usually reserved for smaller calibers. Power aside, what really sets the Solo apart is quality, dependability and 1911 ergonomics that ensure comfortable shootability regardless of hand size. This all comes together to put Solo performance in a class by itself.

With a barrel length of just 2.7 inches, Solo pistols are easy to carry and conceal. Many of the features borrowed from 1911 pistols also make them exceptionally safe. A manual ambidextrous thumb safety, checkered slide release and ambidextrous magazine release button enable fast and intuitive operation. Then there is the single action striker-fired trigger pull–even and smooth.

Solo frames are machined from the finest aluminum and finished in KimPro II, a premium finish that is self-lubricating and extremely resistant to salt and moisture. Slides and barrels are cut from stainless steel. Edges are rounded and blended, slide serrations are deep enough to really work and the dovetail-mounted 3-dot sights are quick to target. No other small pistol can compare.

Beautiful semiautomatic pistol. Perfect size for concealed carry. However, after 50 rounds of "quality" American made ammo, all 124 grain or 147 grain, I experienced 4 failure to feed events. The small magazine is very difficult to load over 4 rounds, and may have contributed to failures. Another complaint, though it said the laser was aligned at the factory, found it way off at 25 and 50 feet. Still need to do more firing, but for concealed carry, I need to be absolutely certain, that the weapon will fire if used. Any doubts are not satisfactory. One surprise, was JHP is strongly recommended, but I did try one magazine with FMJ 124 grain American Eagle, and all worked flawlessly. Jury is still out. Beautiful light pistol, but reliable ........ don't know.

As always gun arrived here in New Yorkistan 3 days from Buds in flawless condition from their excellent staff.
FANTASTIC WEAPON! I'm currentlly using it as my preferred concealed carry weapon of choice! Arrived with the laser dead nuts on! Sights were also dead nuts on the money! I would like to make a side note here and say the i do read all the instruction manuals before running rounds through the weapon and i do preform all of the saftey and cleaning recommendations listed in the manuals. The first time i went to shoot the gun however, it would not cycle correctly and it was extremely aggravating. After a closer look it turns out that it was 100% operator error. The return spring for the slide catch somehow wound up under the slide catch instead of on top as it should be resulting in numerous failures to fully cycle. Upon discovcery, disassembly, and re-assembly paying particular attention to the spring while making sure to rotate the lock pin as i reassembled it ran 350 rounds at a very accelerated pace 100% FLAWLESSLY as you would expect from Kimber! The gun does not like 115 gr. ammo and was designed specifically for the heavier 147 gr hollow points which it feeds spendidly! Not one issue with Remmington Sabres 124+147gr or Winchester jhp 124+147 Gr. It did Jam every 3rd round on 115 winchester FMJ but it does state that it will in the manual.
I LOVE THE GUN AND IT IS MY PREFERRED CARRY WEAPON OF CHOICE! Fits just right in your pocket nothhing to snag. Just the right weight. Nice gun.

Just simply outstanding. All ammo I tried worked flawlessly but am exceptionally impressed with Hornady Critical Duty with the 135 gr FlexLock bullet. 1" groups at seven yards with sights or laser. Recoil is very manageable especially with the +P Factory loaded ammo. Much has been said about reloads but shot 250 rounds of 125 GR CN from Mike @ MasterCast with HP38 and never had a jam. A very elegant weapon especially in the TuTone. Fits in your back pocket or jacket pocket, handles exceptionally well and intuitively takes your eye to the target, with or without the laser. This Kimber was definitely worth the wait.

I received my CDP from Bud's last month after only a two month wait. It has worked flawlessly for over 100 rds of 147, 135, and 124 grain flex point and training, Hornady. Just for kicks and giggles, I put in some FMJ 115 grain. FTEs galore. More Hornady and no problem. Great CCW pistol.

Everything on this Solo was perfect right out of the box. I tried all the SD ammo types recommended for break-in and it shot everything without issue. After some trial of other ammo makes and types I can say that it definitely will not reliably shoot just anything that you can put in it. But I ended up finding a number of loads that I can shoot, especially for cheaper practice rounds. The thing that amazes me the most about this small 9mm is how well it shoots. It feels great and the kick on it is very manageable. The gun handles well, including mag changes. I can double tap with it just like it was a much bigger pistol. The laser came pre-sighted and is dead nuts on at 15 yards. I did some rapid fires with it laser only and could not be more pleased with the accuracy.
