love me some Thompson Center as this is the 2nd Dimension i have bought as i already owned a .270 and i bought this one to build a .308 with... one of the most accurate shooting rifles i own

Bought this receiver because bridge mounts are scarce. One major flaw for the one star is the stocks were coated with the soft touch coating and after some time it deteriates into a sticky mess. So far I've had 2 out 3 stocks turn sticky and this latest came out of the box this way. I was able to use degreaser and lots of scrubbing to remove but still a little tacky. Other than the soft touch coating issue I loved the platform and hated to see them discontinued.

This is the receiver and stock for the interchangeable barreled Dimension rifle. The item came on time to the FFL with no shipping/receiving issues. However, the stock which normally is somewhat soft to the touch with a type of weatherproof coating, had problems. The stock was tacky or gummy to the feel. It was as if someone had wiped the stock with solvent, or it had been stored in heat for a prolonged period of time. Fortunately for me, I was primarily interested in the receiver. I had a spare stock left over from another Dimension rifle, which I had fitted with a different stock. Just check to make sure the stock received is okay. I fitted the receiver with 300 Win Mag barrel and it seems okay. I have not shot it yet. Anther issue not specifically with Buds. I have been shopping eBay, and other gun shops for spare parts for the Dimension rifle, since it has been discontinued by TC. It seems many parts show evidence of improper storage such as rust. As always check your purchase carefully. The Dimension rifle is way more accurate than I can ever be.
