One of the smoothest gun buying transactions I've ever had. Great communications from Bud's after purchase and until I received my firearm. The Savage .17HMR I purchased has exceeded my expectations in every way. Absolutely the most accurate gun I've ever owned. I've shot well over 500 rounds so far without a single malfunction. Could not be more satisfied.

Ordered a pair of these guns because the thumhole marlin XT-17 I ordered from Buds 6 months ago I've about shot out. From what I see from That XT-17, the 93r savage doesn't have quite the quality of machining in the receiver where the bolt rides. Still, it shoots just as well and is very accurate. Cheap 3 x 9 tasco on all 3, and still capable of 1" @ 50 yards ans 2" @ 100 yards. My 11 year old son isn't far behind that kind of pattern, so it's not my stellar abilities I'd say. Yes, the mag is clunky and rattles, no the barrel isn't mirror smooth, yes it's an amazing rifle for the money.

This is the best rim fire gun I have ever used. Had the same gun in the past, but it was blued. I messed up and sold it and tried to buy it back, but the guy I sold it too said NO WAY.. Got this one to take it's place and I am completely satisfied with it. Put a Mueller 4-12 scope on it and have not missed a rabbit with it yet. One Shot one kill all the way!
