200 rounds no problems fit and finish is really good I only give it 4 stars for the grip texture feels like your grabbing a waffle iron other than really good pistol

Awesome 9mm CCW Gun! Springfield packs a lot of gear and value into the little XD-s. The XD Gear holster and mag carrier aren’t the best, but they will suffice and are quite durable until you can find a CCW holster to your liking all nested into a nice be it large case. The XD-s feels good in the hand. The grip angle is comfortable and somewhat adjustable with the interchangeable backstraps. The control layout on the XD-s is intuitive. The mag release is ambidextrous, but the slide stop is not. Fit and finish on the XD-s 9 is excellent. There are no visible machining marks on the slide, or injection marks on the polymer frame. I opted for the bi-tone version with the stainless slide for more durability. After extensive carrying over the course of six months, the only finish wear is on the slide release and disassembly lever. The sights on the XD-s are easy to acquire in full or reduced light situations. The rear is a low-profile white dot unit, but the front is a highly visible red fiber optic unit. They’re actually kind of nice for more accurate work, and they are versatile enough to be used for carry. If you prefer a different color up front, it’s relatively easy to replace the fiber optic insert with green, yellow, etc which are included by Springfield. Carrying the XD-s is a breeze. There’s a plethora of holsters out there from a variety of companies. I’ve been carrying mine almost exclusively in a Crossbreed mini-tuck holster and it’s incredibly comfortable. At the range the XD-s ran smoothly over 500 rounds fired with all kinds of ammo. The best groups I managed with the XD-s 9mm were with 135gr Hornady Critical Duty ammo. Recoil is minimal, which surprised me greatly. Ball ammo is actually quite pleasant to shoot, which is more than I can say for other offerings in this category. The trigger on my XD-s broke at 6.4 pounds before I began shooting it extensively. It now breaks at 6.1. There is a little bit of spongy take-up in the trigger, followed by about .1” of heavier travel before the actual break but that's pretty normal for a striker fired pistol. It’s the only pocket semi-auto I’ve ever owned that ran this smoothly right out of the box. The XD gear makes this a tremendous value when looked at as a total package. Great gun and another great transaction with Buds at a great price. Happy Customer!

Buds impresses me again! If you are having doubts about ordering online- DON'T! These guys are the best! No need to worry and very straight forward. As far as the gun- It's my 2nd one and I love it. Great carry weapon, perfect smaller frame guys that don't wear big, baggy clothes.

Buds = great communication, fast shipping, a pleasure to do business with. The Gun = Awesome shooter, accurate, eats any ammo fed to it (range, reload, hollow point and fmj) even tried mixed ammo in mag, never missed a beat. Conceals very well. The grip feels rough at first but doesn't dig into your hand or fingers when shooting. For a small gun recoil is nothing.

Regarding Bud's; I have a Team Buds membership, and once my payment cleared....the weapon shipped next business day! Just as advertised....and 2nd day to boot! Great service from Bud's.....this is the only online gun store from which I purchase firearms. Now to the pistol!!! Let me say...I am picky about my weapons....and I had some hesitation regarding the "post-recall" version of this pistol....and some bad reports on the "Glock-Like" trigger.... Also....let me preface my opinion of this XDs by informing you that I previously owned a Springfield XDm .45 4.5"....and will refer to it in comparison. I shopped for a good 3 months....before buying this piece....S&W Shield was less expensive....and available, etc... The XDm I sold last year (.45 ACP) was a sweet shooter, and I loved it. Ammo climbed in price....so I sold it and bought (2) CZ75 compacts in 9mm. Loved those pistols until; I fired this XDs first mag at the range. Wow! All I can say is....the most accurate, comfy to shoot pistol I own...or have owned. No joke....this thing was giving me such tight groups....I was smiling so hard! My buddy next to me has a Sig SP2022 in .40, and my other friend has a Beretta 92FS Inox. I was outshooting both....and we all swapped up weapons as well. Everyone commented on the accuracy...and natural "pointability" of this little 3.3" Springfield. I simply can't say enough about how impressed I am.... If you are hesitant about this purchase....don't be! Buy it now! My only modifications so far....are 1. I hand-polished the barrel with Mothers....and now the barrel shines as it should have....rather than the black melonite barrel in that SS slide. 2. I bought (2) of the 9-round mags w/X-tension inserts....as well as the Pearce grip extenders for the 7-round mags. The grip extender is nice....but the "dangling pinky" does not affect the way this pistol shoots. By the way....I ran several types of ammo through that day (over 250 rounds total)...Remington +P Golden Sabres, PMC Starfire, Hornady XTP, PMC FMJ, Herters FMJ, Winchester JHP.... Not one single malfunction, FTF, FTE, ETC....Not one! Awesome Pistol!
