Purchased this rifle in .300WM with high hopes for a nice elk rifle. First problem was that the rifle failed to extract the fired case. Fired enough rounds to know that this rifle didn't group well at all, like 4" at 100 yards. Send rifle back to Remington voicing concerns over the above problems. Rifle returned and appeared to have a new bolt and the extraction problem was fixed but not the accuracy issues. Tried 3 different factory loads including Federal GM Match and about 6 different hand loads and the rifle will not shoot better than 3.5 to 4moa. Called Remington and they had me send the rifle to an authorized service center in Portland, OR. Rifle came back with a new crown cut on the bbl. Accuracy still sucks so I called Remington again and they told me that it "met their specs" and there was nothing they could do for me. After a bunch of research I think the stock might be part of the issue. It has a pressure point at the tip and is not free floated. Going to see a gunsmith tomorrow and get his opinion. For now this rifle was a complete waste of money. Lots of people told me to just sell it and get something else but I don't feel comfortable passing this turd on to someone else, it's that karma thing.

Disappointed with this riffle. Was setting up a long range gun and chose Remington 300. When I fired first shot I couldn’t bolt empty hull out of gun. Ended up sending back to Remington to repair and when it came back bolt looked like it had been put on die grinder but it did work. Than to top that off I received a recall on trigger and had to send back to Remington a second time so missed deer season that year. Haven’t used gun sense I got it back. I would not recomend. Very disappointed with Remington.

this is an excellent 300wm. lightweight and easy to fire. The recoil isn't an issue for me, though I am a bigger guy and may be able to handle it better than most. buds was great to work with and shipped quickly. I just wish there was a way to save on shipping since I live in KY and would make the drive to Buds more often if I could save on the shipping cost. Overall I love this gun, when it is working properly. I have recently been having issues with my brass getting stuck and will be sending this for warranty work. All of my ammo is factor Remington loads and there is no reason that I should have issues extracting the brass. Will update my post once work is complete and I am able to use this again. Giving 3 stars due to the brass extraction issue, otherwise would be 5 stars.
