Purchased the LCP for my wife and it arrived yesterday. Took it home to clean it prior to taking her to the range and found a few issues. First, the slide stop is extremely difficult to engage. I have read online that sometimes they are like that and break in eventually. Well, this one is so tough that I can't move it by hand. I have to hold the slide back with my left hand and use a flat head screwdriver with my right to push the slide stop up. Also, when I removed the slide and pulled the recoil springs and guide rod for cleaning, I noticed that the guide rod is bent. Not just slightly, but bent like someone put their thumbs in the middle and tried to bend it. Called Ruger and it's going straight back to them for repair. Unbelievable for a brand new gun of any make or model. Very disappointed.

This little gun functions perfectly. It is not difficult to manually rack in a round and it did not fail to fire or jam in any way. I used 95 grain fmj and jhp rounds. It did fire about 4 to 6 inches low at 7 yards but windage was fine. At the distance this gun would likely to be used the accuracy is more than acceptable. Only one mag was included from Ruger , they were a bit pricey and hard to find. I bought promag extras and they functioned well. Ladies I bought the raspberry colored one to prevent losing this one to my hubby's pocket. If you need a extra light and small gun to carry this one will do the job and give you 7 chances to stop aggressive action. With the improvements in defense ammo the 380acp should be adequate.

Bought this for my wife. She picked it out, and really likes it. The only negative is that it only came with one magazine..

I bought this gun for my wife and might I say it is a great gun. Shot 50 rds 1st day no jams or nothin. Good accuracy for 25 ft or less. So light and small.
