The P-01 9mm (designated the P-06 in .40 S&W) was designed for LE and Military duty, but its compact size and the reduced weight due to its forged alloy frame made it ideal for discrete carry as well. Equipped with a decocker, the P-01 provides convenience for those who prefer hammer-down carry.

The P-01 was the first CZ model to benefit from updated manufacturing technology at CZ’s Uhersky Brod factory. The components of the P-01/P-06 are completely interchangable with every other P-01/P-06, with no individual fitting required. This required some very careful re-design so that the reliability and accuracy were not impaired. Since the time of its introduction (designed in 2001, NATO-approved in 2003) the production upgrades have been rolled out to most of the CZ 75 family and several new rifle models as well. The 1913 accessory rail easily accepts any of the industry-standard lights and lasers to assist low-light use. After 3 years of some of the most aggressive small arms testing ever, the CZ P-01 won the honor of replacing the CZ 75s previously used by the Czech National Police.

Reliability:  The U.S. Army “Mean Rounds Between Failure” (MRBF) requirement is 495 rounds for 9mm pistols. During testing of the CZ P-01, the average number of stoppages was only 7 per 15,000 rounds fired. This is a .05% failure rate or an MRBF of 2142!

For many years, the P-01 carried an NSN engraved on its frame, making it the first NATO-spec pistol ever available to the public. Recently, the factory decided to upgrade the slide stop spring which in turn means the current models may not carry the NSN.

Buds shipped the weapon very quickly to local FFL. The case was in good shape from shipping but the gun had old oil on the outside of it almost like a film and sticky. I cleaned the weapon up and it shines like new. The gun will fit your hand perfectly and fits like a glove. It is on the heavier side but carrying is still well within reason. Gun comes stamped with nato numbers. Google cz75 p01 testing or torture test and you will learn the details It went through over 18k rounds dropped multiple. I've put 1k rounds through it and have not cleaned it one time and used reloads brass and steel at different grains, this weapon is a go to gun for any situation. If your considering a cz order it you will love it, this gun is highly dependable and built properly, trigger pull isn't the best it doesn't have the omega trigger but after several rounds it gets better and bette, this gun has the de cocker instead of cocked and locked, being a 1911 person I was a little worried with de kocker but so far I love this gun no failures at all and I run it hard. Buy a cz!!!!! You won't regret it

My pistol came with the "75 Compact D" slide. After a call to CZ-USA, I was convinced that my pistol is a P-01. This gun breeds confidence. Feels great in the hand and conceals very welll with a Alien IWB holster. I like the heavy double action pull for safety and the single action is smoothing up over time. I'll give it a few hundred more rounds then out for a trigger job. I have twenty odd purchases from Bud's and I keep coming back.

I bought this gun from Buds at least a year ago if not more. The service at Buds was excellent, and this is the nicest 9mm I have ever shot. Granted, I am not a fan of polymer hand guns, so this is perfect. All steel construction and rubber grips give a firm hold. I love it!!! The only issue I have is its size, it is not easy to conceal and carry on my body.

Well as of 11-26-14, I am now a proud owner of one of these fine specimens of a pistol. Bud's as always made this possible. I am entirely pleased with the transaction from start to finish. Since it is a QUALITY firearm, I don't expect any issues with it...........I just have to do my part. Thanks Buds for making my day.
