This was my first 1911 purchase and I couldn't be happier. It shoots and handles like a dream. The finish and quality of the pistol is also second to none. All the glam and goodies of the big expensive names at a reasonable price. I would and do recommend the Taurus 1911 to anyone in the market for one.

Another awesome gun from Taurus! i have a Judge and its an awesome pistol! now i got me another new toy! im a big guy, and this is a big gun, takes alot of the recoil from the bullets away from me when i shoot it. 5 STARS all the way and BUD's shipped out very fast! price was a little high, but well worth it. now i need to find more 45 acp's so i can shoot it more.

I received the product as promised by Bud's in a timely manner at a very fair price price.My experience with Bud's was great.
After removing the caked on packing / shipping grease I noticed many casting imperfections to the frame, thus, I was required to send the pistol to Taurus under a repair ticket (due to the FFL not having the necessary solvents to remove the crud from the pistol and my completing the transfer to clean the pistol at home). At best this pistol was a 40% blemished pistol which was released by Taurus. This being my first Tausus, I am not impressed with the exterior of the pistol, Taurus's Quality Control and timeliness to respond to the issue.

This gun is awesome for the price. If you want a piece of functional history and don't want to break the bank this is your 1911. Fit and finish are definitely not Kimberific, but for the price it is one awesome gun. The action was smooth after I cleaned and oiled her. The frame/slide match was tight, but smooth as silk. If I have one gripe it is the plastic grips, but hey, who isn't going to customize their grips anyways. There are tons of grip options out there specific to this gun. I did order 3 Wilson Combat magazines, but the two that come with the gun are fine. The custom features listed above are spot-on. I'm sure that the inflated prices show up there are not real-world prices, but it definitely is worth the $675 or so that I paid.

The only CON is that the front sight was off center out of the case and I needed to drift it back in line. No big deal.
