Do the gen 3 g29 mags work in this? If not where can I get gen 5 mags at?

The gen 3 mags will work. The only thing is because the gen 5 mags have cutouts on each side for ambidextrous switchability. So if you're a lefty and moved the mag release, the gen 3 wouldn't work. If all is the basic righty setup, then yes, they will fit.

Sorry Due to design differences, Glock Gen 3 and Gen 5 magazines are not interchangeable. Stick to magazines designed for the specific generation of your Glock pistol.

So yes, if you add it to your cart, pick out the FFL you'll have it sent to, then when they receive it it'll be shipped out to your FFL. Then your FFL you chose will notify you once they receive it and you can go to complete the 4473 background check and pay a nominal transfer fee from the FFL (Usually between $25-$40).
