Hi Lorrie, if your looking for a SHTF shotgun, you do not need to spend $2000. I wouldn't buy a cheep semi-auto either, you never know how reliable it will be. Hi Andy and welcome. Yes, Foster Type Slugs will give the best results through the Cylinder or Modified Chokes. Do not fire Slugs through the accompanying Full Choke.

As always, Buds guns was great and easy to deal with. Their pricing is very good as well. As far as this gun, it is great. I have shot about a hundred rounds through it already. It works great. The only thing I didn’t know ahead of time was that it recommended using shotgun shells that have a speed of 1300fps. I do a lot of skeet shooting and some of those are a little slower. I did try some 1200 and 1250 feet per second and they mostly worked fine. Out of all hundred rounds I only had one not eject. That’s acceptable to me for a gun under $200. I’d recommend this to anyone who is interested in getting into shooting. It’s cheap and very easy to use. And if for some reason it doesn’t work out for you, you aren’t out that much money. Great gun and thanks Buds for the great service.

I just picked my new Boss Hog 12 ga. SA shotgun today. My gun guy has a place to shoot so I popped off 3 rounds after a quick swabbing of the barrel. My ammo was Monarch 7 1/2 shot 1350 fps. 3 quick bangs and I was on the road again. Fired all 3 shells w/o any glitch. I like the feel of it. It is a rather soft shootin 12 ga. The gas operated recoil seems to work pretty well. It's not my first Semi-auto but the one I had in the 70s didn't feel right so I quickly sold it. This one I like. I recommend it...IF you clean it regularly and use the recommended velocity ammo for break in. It's a keeper.
