The barrel is 16" then the flash suppressor. The thread pitch is 1/2×28 so it is removable.

Jeremy, from what I read really only difference is the custom comes with a Geissele trigger vs milspec on the standard, a Radian charging handle and a muzzle break instead of flash hider, it also has the cerakote finish. Daniel defense makes quite a few models so hard to say if it's better but the Geissele trigger alone on the custom is a huge improvement in my book. So I'd personally go with the custom or the pro model. Hope this helps.

Rick, this is the ddm4 v7 Wich looks like Daniel defense has discontinued. If you go to Daniel defense website and enter the model number (02-128-09380-047) you'll find it or just Google (Daniel defense ddm4 v7) and theirs is the first website. Hope this helps.

Richard, yes sir, Daniel defense makes great AR-15s. I haven't heard very many compliants about them. I'm part of a AR-15 builders group on facebook and people hold them in high regards. Definitely one of the better options available at the price point. Hope this helps

Jason, no this model doesn't include any sights. It does have a picatinny rail to add iron sights or optic of your choosing. Alot of AR-15 style rifles don't include sights anymore because the manufacturer thinks people will upgrade and switch them out anyways. So it's a way to keep the price lower. Hope this helps.

Mason, no sir, The DDM4 V7 features a direct impingement gas system, a mid-length gas tube and a pinned low-profile gas block that’s CNC machined out of 4140 hardened steel and hard phosphate coated.

If your looking to own ONE modern sporting rifle for practice, competition, defense, or hunting than here you go. It is a top tier rifle. Despite all the info and reviews out there in the world in regards to manufacturers, make no mistake there is a difference. When you pick it up you will see and when you shoot it you will understand. It is worth the price right down to the cerakote, especially with the extras. Broke it in with standard .223 55 grain brass and performed flawlessly as it should. Every round touches in the paper and could cover 3 shot groups with a quarter. Buy it, put something on top equivalent in price, work it out, and you will probably find that you will part with all your others, because every time you go to the safe you will grab it.

I was hesitating on this purchase for several days. I finally made the decision and paid for this rifle. Less than 24hrs later I got a email that the order was now in the shipping phase. I went back to the listing and found that is was now "out of stock". Only a select group of distributers sold this model and everywhere I looked it was out of stock... did I get the last one? Less than 48 hrs from purchase I was sent a FedEx tracking number. And a couple days later the rifle was delivered and I picked it up. I could not be happier, Thanks Buds!! I will definitely be back!!

this rifle is a great value for everything you get with it the trigger in it is insane. the only not really a complaint is that mine came with the radian raptor LT charging handle. Would have rather had the regular raptor or Daniel Defense grip and rip but beggars can't be choosers. I can live with the LT handle at the insane value you get for a DD rifle.

Somehow this rifle shoots even better than it looks. Loaded with upgrade and less than the price of a standard DDM4V7. It really can’t be beat. I’m considering buying a second one. The SD3G trigger is incredible, I will put one in every AR I own. At 100 yards this rifle grouped 30 rounds of AAC 77 grain match in 0.5 to 0.75 MOA. To my surprise it shot the cheap 55 grain stuff pretty well too. 30 rounds with 55 grain XM193 and almost all of them are within 1 MOA with a few fliers.
