Remington 700 SPS Varmint 308 Win Bolt Action Rifle - 26" Barrel, 3 Rounds, Synthetic

I bought this Remington Model 700 Varmint rifle in 308 win because of the known reputation of Remington Firearms. In years past, I have had many Remington firearms. I currently have two Ruger Americans (30-06/270) which I picked up at Buds and a Winchester model 70 in 30-06. This rifle was a great box deal, scope mounts, case and sling for $595.00. The scope (China) is coming off after I get the Firearm home from the FFL. Only complaint is the very cheap scope. I have a nice Redfield Revolution 4x12 lined up.

Finally got to go to the range today with my new varmint terminator. First the gun looks great. The trigger is not bad. I shoot easy less than 1" groups once the scope was zeroed. Used 168 grain HPBT hand loaded. Love the gun and wish I had got this years ago. Now for the bad : The scope is a piece of crap. It will not make it to the range again. At 100 yards can't really see a 1" bull. It's one of the weakest 12 power scope I have seen. Remember you are buying the gun not the scope. If you are hunting deer or something with some size it will do OK. If you shooting paper or Small varmints not so much. Bottom line Love the gun and Buds has hit another Home Run.

Was looking for a Remington 700 at a inexpensive price. I search all the local and internet stores, but never heard of this Buds Guns. A friend of mine told me about it. Once I placed my order it did take almost the full 7 days before the rifle shipped, but only 3 days to get here counting the weekend. Once the rifle arrived at my FFL, I showed up to finally get to see what exactly I ordered and do an inspection on the rifle before completed the paperwork. What I got was better then expected. First off, it is the MODEL 700 SPS VARMINT Order# 84218 MSRP $761.00 that you will be getting, it came with the hard case, but it is the Plano Pillared Single Scoped Gun Case Model #1511, this alone is about $40 MSRP, then it did come with a mounted scope, its a 4-12x40 scope, no company logo on it, but it did come with mounting rails as well. Finally, it also came with a rifle sling, this one I wasn't expecting. I haven't had a chance to go out and shoot it, but from everything I have read and watched, this will be a great base rifle to build a awesome rifle off of as the guts are there. Don't hesitate to purchase from Buds and this package deal as it one disappoint at the price point.
