As other reviewers have stated it is nice to find a firearm built for left handers, my primary reason for buying this 22 rifle. The rifle has a rimfire dovetail rail so I slapped a rings and a 10x scope on it. The rifle is accurate enough with cheap ammo so I'm happy with it, as I primarily shoot cheap ammo. Nothing against the rifle but with cheap ammo I do see more limitations with a semi auto vs a bolt, the ammo that sounds quieter shot to shot is usually a flyer on paper probably because it has reduced energy to actuate the bolt . All in all I am very happy with the rifle, it's accurate, cycles 100% for me, even with the "squib" loads from cheap ammo. I have had a marlin semi for 40 years and occasionally have received the unburnt powder in the eye/face, very annoying/dangerous, with this rifle not an issue. The clip insertion in the rifle takes a little getting used to, I personally do not use the release to insert it but push against the release with the clip on the angle that it sits in the rifle, if you have an ak you might know what I mean. The trigger is kind of like a 2 stage trigger, which I like. My only criticism of the rifle is the lack of a last shot bolt hold open, which makes count my shots if I do not want to peen the chamber mouth with the firing pin. The clip works very well and is very stout unlike the savage mark 2 bolt clips. Thinking about buying another one of these rifle to use with open sights... :)

This little plinker is amazing! Cheap gun to shoot cheap ammo. I've had lots of hours of fun at the range with this .22

Left handed guns are hard to find and usually expensive. This rifle shoots well and is responsibly priced. It exceeded my expectations so far (around 200 rounds). So good I also purchased the right handed model.

I have several other variations of the model 64, but when I saw this left handed model for me being left handed I had to order it. I see other reviews complaining about these models having problems with cycling and accuracy but out of the three other models I have of this rifle I have not had any problems with either.

I have purchased a left handed 64 FL 22 cal. It’s not a bad rifle but lacks refinement. The magazine well is extremely hard to navigate. It does not lend itself to quickly changing magazines. The other is the selection of magazines, the absence of larger capacity is more of an issue because of the magazine well issue. Threaded barrel would be nice to accommodate a suppressor. All in all, because if it’s relatively low price it’s a great plinker for anyone just starting out shooting.
