• Q: Can this M1A standard rifle advertised on budsgunshop.com accept 7.62 bullets? Is it safe to fire these bullets even though it is advertised as .308?

  Any American made and most foreign 7.62 will fit and fire in 308 rifles. The main concern is that all American made 7.62 is made to head space in a 308. It can be made a bit longer than the 308 and still be in NATO specs so some foreign ammo may not easily chamber. The pressures are the same just measured on a different scale and at different points on the barrel. (They both shoot the same weight bullets at the same speed right?)
