This gun is really nice. I will be honest, I was somewhat worried about the finish and everything by looking at the product picture but when it came I realized just how nice it was. I was able to fit 17 rounds in the magazines no problem from the box although the 17th is just a little tight. The trigger both on SA and DA works extremely well. I am well pleased with this purchase. If you are worried about the gun and the functioning of it, clean it well right when you get it and rack the slide a bit. It really does help. Thanks Buds also for the shipping and good service.

Received the taurus 92 in good order shipping was fast pistol was factory new no problems. When I placed the order I asked the rep at buds if this gun came with an extra magazine he said it did not so I ordered an extra one after market which I don't like to do. When I received the pistol it came with 2 mags?? Buds rep was looking in the database/computer as we spoke and said only 1 mag comes with the gun so I was a bit confused on this. That was the only snag with this order I suggest they update the database ect.

started out a 3 star gun, first the bad, looks like a true combat finish, not the sweet deep bluing I had on my beretta 92, action was rough, trigger was borderline inoperable, it took so much force to pull the trigger in single action, it was not useable, the 17 round mags have the 10rd mag spring in them so you can only load 10 rounds into the mag, also the mags do not sit flush with the grip and have sharp edges on the bottom, shame on Taurus these mags are junk! overall the edges on the gun are sharp, the serrations on the slide kinda hurt your fingers they are so sharp! now the good news, the frame to slide fit is exceptional, the gun is solid nothing rattling around, I cleaned and oiled everything inside and out then began working the slide and trigger, over and over, after hand cycling the gun approx. a thousand time over the last few days all has worked itself out, the slide to frame action is smooth the trigger is now VERY crisp yet a little hard, I have come to like it a lot. also I stored the gun last 2 days with the action back to soften up the springs just a bit, worked out great! the NEW out of the box Taurus just needs to be worked into shape. so the "combat" finish, is a good excuse to duracoat, the terrible trigger was worked into a crisp smooth pull, my only complaint are the sharp edges on the gun, nothing I can do about that, overall, 4 of 5 stars after some TLC. its not an M9 but its not $650 either, also, I like the Taurus safety BETTER then the M9. I had already ordered 3 mec gear 20 rd mags for this pistol so the Taurus junk mags ill keep for spare mag parts! I say If you don't feel comfortable spending $650 on a new beretta , this a a great 92 copy if your willing to work with it a little bit, I am planning to staying with Taurus and buying a 9mm 1911 from buds and Taurus, oh by the way, ordered my gun mon morning, it was in AZ by thurs. even with the snow storm....BUDS ROCKS!

This is my fourth firearm; three through on-line services; the first through Buds Guns. Bud’s on-line service is trouble-free, easy and reliable. I opted against the Cash discount in order to expedite the purchase process. I still paid about the same or less than other on-line services or over-the-counter. The Cash discount, lay-a-way options and free shipping are excellent incentives. This experience was trouble-free. Buds' e-mail updates and having account information readily available through Buds website are excellent. Once the weapon was acknowledged through UPS, tracking was reassuring. Despite a severe weather delay (also messaged by Buds on-line store), the firearm arrive at the appointed FFL dealer in the promoted three business-day time frame. The twenty dollar transfer fee was worth the whole purchase experience.

Upon receiving the firearm at the FFL dealer, I field-stripped the weapon for a thorough inspection on- site. Unlike my PT809, the PT92 did required immediate cleaning upon arriving home. Hence, the notion of an all-metal weapon shipped from Brazil rang true for the first time. I never shoot “right out of the box” in the first place. I have always thoroughly inspected and action checked each weapon before leaving a dealer or going to the range. Cleaning and adding a touch of gun oil from the start is always advisable.

Given some early reviews through Buds and other on-line sources, I was a bit apprehensive about fit and finish of the PT92. Upon inspection, the PT92 is tight, well-machined with close tolerances throughout. D/S trigger action, slide motion, magazine release and locking, safety and de-cocking were all smooth. Field stripping on-site was also simply and quick. Reassembly was equally trouble-free. Magazines have a bit of a gap from the end of the grip when engaged. I would prefer that tolerance to be more finite but certainly not a problem on the range.
I did immediately change to Hogue rubber grips after the cleaning process was completed. This is a personal preference, not a fault of the manufacturer or the weapon. I also have Talon grips on my polymer firearms. Again, this is a personal preference and one that enhances my feel and experience at the range.

For those enthusiasts who shoot full-frame firearms, you know the experience from the range. No problems with various 9mm manufacturers, discharge, ejection of shell, etc.. Grouping is exactly what I expected from a full-frame firearm. The PT92 is accurate, consistent and a reliable performer.

Buds Gun Shop and Taurus have been a superior experience. I highly recommend the on-line process and weaponry.
