• Q: Can anyone tell me if this version of the mini 14 is capable of using the 20 round mags? It is advertised here as only having a 5 round mag. Any feedback would be appreciated.

  Rodolfo, unfortunately no. Prohibited - A shroud that encircles either all or part of the barrel designed to shield the bearer's hand from heat, except a solid forearm of a stock that covers only the bottom of the barrel.

• Q: Thinking about buying this rifle. Can we use steel cased ammo in this?

  I'm sure shooting some from time to time won't hurt anything but I try to stay away from steel cased ammo in any firearm. Most steel cased ammo has a bimetal jacket projectile Wich means there's steel in the bullet/projectiles jacket wich can wear on the barrel much quicker than brass. Know plenty of people shoot steel threw these, it can just wear parts or even break parts quicker. Hope this helps.

• Q: I know there are other versions of the Mini-14 that are California legal, but this one doesn't have the same statement. Is this specific rifle CA legal?

  You can use a picatinny rail. Actually, the receiver is drilled and tapped for mounting the included picatinny rail. So no need to spend extra money. Enjoy.
