The Mini-14 Ranch rifle offers inherent accuracy and quick repeat shot capability which makes it the favorite of ranchers and outdoorsmen. Its Garand-style action with breechbolt locking system, is a fixed-piston gas system and self-cleaning which gives unparalleled reliability under harsh operating conditions. The steel receiver is drilled and tapped, has a Picatinny rail, and integral scope mounts that provides a stable mounting surface. The Mini-14 Ranch also has a cold hammer-forged barrel and ghost ring adjustable rear and blade front sights. Included are two magazines, Picatinny rail and scope rings.

Fit and finish are top tier on this rifle, which I expect from Ruger. Factory sights were dead on right out of the box. Comes with a set of scope rings (at 1" in diameter, they do not fit most LPVOs, so make sure to get a picatinny mount if you want to run one of these) and a pic rail with hardware and thread locker. This rifle flings your brass at least 20-25 feet so make sure you are on the far-right side of the firing range when you go; your neighbors will thank you. All in all, this rifle is everything I expected: a handy 5.56 rifle with an excellent crisp trigger, a beautiful wood stock, rust-resistant stainless steel internals, and proven reliability. A true all-around rifle. Bud's was a pleasure to work with. Overcommunicated the order and delivery status. They are always my first look, and often my last look.

I have wanted one of these for decades and was finally in a position to get one. I had it in my wish list here but it was sold out soon after. I clicked the "notify me when back in stock" and within just a short time I got a back in stock notification. I put it on layaway and purchased it outright soon after. If you haven't used Buds Gun Shop layaway program, I have used it more than once, and attest to the fact it is a great option and that Buds follows through on everything just as promised.

I've been looking everywhere for a hunting rifle for my wife and decided on a Ruger Mini 14, but was unsuccessful on finding one. Should have gone to Bud's first. They had the stainless model with a beautiful wood stock that I have been searching for. It arrived within a week, just in time to break it in that weekend, and it is perfect!
