Ruger's Vaquero features a handsome, larger crescent-shaped ejector rod
head that boasts traditional form, which makes it perfect for every
cowboy or cowgirl. Its patented reverse indexing pawl allows for easier
loading and unloading, while the traditional beveled cylinder simplifies
holstering. The transfer bar mechanism and loading gate interlock
provide an unparalleled measure of security against accidental
discharge. The Vaquero also has a traditional western-style,
hand-filling grip and a cold hammer-forged barrel.
This model has a Stainless steel 4.62" barrel, frame, and cylinder. It
also has a rosewood grip.

The Ruger Vaquero is as classic as they come. And, Bud's Gun Shop had the model & caliber that I was looking for at the best price - period! This is my 2nd purchase from Bud's. If you are thinking about the Cowboy action game this is a great starting point. It sacrifices some authenticity to the 1873 originals, but 6 rounds can safely be carried, and the high polish finish is just that. Plus its a Ruger. If there is ever an issue, they fix it.

Outstanding fit and finish. Smooth as silk. The Ruger New Vaquero in .45 Colt is an absolute fantastic revolver. Very good balance. The trigger has a very crisp and clean release. I have this 4.62" and also the 5.5." Both are amazing. Highly recommended.

What can I say that hasn't been written about this outstanding six-shooter. Bought for cowboy shooting and have enjoyed just plinking away at cans and paper. Nothing can top the Ruger Vaquero in .45 LC, well it would be hard to top this gun.

Ruger makes a fine revolver and this Vaquero is no exception, great quality and function and you can expect Ruger to stand behind any gun they sell. Buds processed my order and shipped to my FFL very quickly as always, Buds makes buying a gun online quick and easy.

Just purchased this revolver in July 2020 and I have not had a chance to fire the weapon. The action on this revolver seems rough when compared to a Colt revolver I own. The Colt is smoother when cocked and releasing the hammer. The loading gate is also stiff to operate. The gun itself is nice, great wooden handle, nice finish and very easy/quick to disassemble. I would recommend this weapon for the price and quality thus far.

Bought this revolver for quick draw cowboy contest. Found that it shoots so well, it often ends up in my holster when hog hunting. Haven't found anything to dislike yet.
