The SP2022 is a polymer frame 15 shot 9mm pistol. It had a true double action trigger system, which permits carrying a live round in the chamber with the hammer down. I feel this is the safest method of carrying a pistol with a round in the chamber. The pistol has functioned with 100% reliability so far, with approximately 200 rounds fired. Accuracy is good. The pistol grip is well shaped and quite comfortable. The first round, double action pull is long, and has about a 10 pound weight. The single action trigger, for all subsequent shots, is short and crisp, with about a 4 pound weight. Reset is short and crisp. The only issue I found with the pistol is the clarity of the sights. The sights don't standout as sharply as I prefer, especially in dim light. I plan to install high contrast sights at a later date. Right now I am comparing this pistol to the SIG P320 Compact Carry 9mm for my EDC. A plus for this pistol is the added safety of loaded chamber carry versus a striker fired pistol.

Although it’s not one of the more popular P226 or P229 this is my 3rd P2022 and I own the other 2 models but Really like this 2022 great shooting 9mm and the price is good perfect for someone who cannot afford one of the more expensive models

Great pistol!....old fanboys cry because its not a 226, young fanboys cry because its not a 320....it is, a Sig Sauer for under 500 dollars that will out last all of us. Very well built, accurate and night sights.

Nice gun. Very smooth action. This is an excellent start into the Sig line. It is a SA/DA with a safety, but I prefer the newer DAOs with no safety. Accurate out of the box.

Not sure how it shoots because I am sending it back to the factory. One of the factory Sig Lite night sights will not illuminate.
