my Dad carried a 45 in WW2 with a web safety and he taught me about hand-guns; I love the SA build! This gun came perfect. Everything about it is just right.

love the feel, the fit & finish, the 7 shots. it was made to fit my hands. it rides perfectly in a 1791 leather holster made for it as well as in a VNSH holster.

Nice little gun. It is a soft shooter, The recoil spring set up works very well. Fits in the hand well. Very excellent sights. My 10 yard group with this is almost the same as my Red dot equipped 3.5" Officers. I was also pleasantly surprised by the factory trigger pull average of just under 5 lbs. There was one minor drawback. initially I had FTF. A quick look confirmed that the edges of the chamber had zero radius, and were very sharp. Rather than sending it back, a quick hit of the chambers edge, with a felt bob in a rotary tool and nothing more than Jewelers Rouge did the trick. I have experienced Zero FTF afterwards.

Great trigger, shoots great and a great price. The Bolt is a little hard to close because of the tight chamber. That is not a problem to me. I liked this one so much I bought a walnut model.

No it is not a 20 gauge as in the description but it does have a 20" barrel. This was my second Retay ascend rifle. The first is a Sporter, Both are very good shooters. Consistent touching groups with most of the subsonic ammo I have tried. The trigger is pretty good and adjusted to 2 pounds. Because of the tight chamber closing the bolt takes a bit of effort. I wish they had a third model I could buy.

I'm somewhat familiar with Stoeger from their line of solid shotguns. When they came out with the STR9 Buds had it for a ridiculous low price so I ordered one. One of my favorite pistols. Fits my hand perfectly. Clear, bright sights that my eyes like. Flawless performance every time I've used it. Great gun for a crazy low price!

I really like this pistol,,a ton of fun to shoot and very accurate out of the box.I like it better than my TX22 and that's saying something.I still think Ruger makes the best rimfire semi autos but this one comes close.garageguy879.

The Ruger Max9 is a great concealed carry weapon! I'm very happy the magazines carry a suitable number of rounds. When I took it to the range, I was pleased with how it performed. I have a carry rotation, but I found myself stuck with the Max9. I wasn't sure I wanted it from the beginning, but after using it, I give it an A! I am picky with weapons (especially Ruger), but I am beyond satisfied with my Max9!
