I've shot about 300 rounds without a problem. Very accurate. I shoot at 25 yards minimum and I'm punching out the center of the targets. Fit and finish are perfect. This is an heirloom piece. Darker than their studio lights make it look.

they managed to improve this generation in every category and still not change very much from past generations. That's a good thing (for me), the aimpoint coa is a fantastic red dot and you're actually saving a couple hundred bucks buying them together. It's a great package. Get it.

This one was kinda dry...
This one was kinda dry inside. Glad I did a clean and inspect and lube to it to get it ready for a range day. Nits and picks. One nit. I didn't care for the alloy slab sided thin grips. They are hard and texture free. Looked like cast alloy with a flat black Ceracoat finish. I'm an old traditionalist in 1911s. Needed to put some regular grips on it. Problem, Thin grips! Tisas installed thin grip bushings. That limits you to thin grips. I had to change out the bushings for regular ones. Thankfully that was not too difficult to do. Tisas installed the stock thin bushings with blue Loctite. I heated the areas to warm and fail the Loctite. Used a machinist's flat tip driver to then gently unscrew them. Applied a tiny bit of blue Loctite to each new regular one and snugged them in. Viola! 20 minutes of careful work and done. One minor nit. Trigger was a crisp 5#. Nothing wrong with that. A perfect GI trigger. It was crisp and felt good. Positive reset. But I wanted to knock it down a bit to a bullseye spec of 4#. Last minor nit. Why have the slab sided stock grips cover the retaining pin for the mainspring housing? That means grips need pulled every time you want to remove that. All I could figure was they wanted to style it, so the grips blended right into the mag funnel. Picks begin now. I dissembled the mainspring housing from the frame. Found it had a reduced power Colt type leaf spring under it! Cool! Very easy to adjust these. A number of my other Tisas made 1911s like the Meusoc and Jsoc had full power GI style springs in them. I adjusted the center and left side leaf to about 1/8" aft of the original positions. I didn't touch the right side as the grip safety had been set just right IMO. I did not pull the hammer, sear or disconnector out. That since the trigger felt so good to begin with. I only adjusted the leaf spring. Reassembled it. Trigger now broke at a clean 4# with 1.5# acting on the reset. Nailed it on the first try. More picks: Everything was well clearanced and came apart like it was an old friend. As a retired machinist, I appreciated that. I'm old enough to have used original 1911s during my 20 years in the navy. IME, some new guns can have parts too tightly fitted, like ambi safety's for instance. I have seen new ones that needed pried apart. Very pleased by this one. The barrel was very well fitted to include the bushing. Rails were just right. About .002" play. Just enough to detect. No excessive application of the finish anywhere to get in the way or bind anything. When I had the grips off, I had to admire how well the gray/green Ceracoat had been applied to the frame. Top notch work there! I really liked the stippling on the front and back strap. Gives it a semi-custom touch. Feels just right too. Stock mags were a pair of polished blued 8 round MegGars. One of my favorites. They functioned perfectly. The steel mag funnel is machined integral with the mainspring housing. Nice touch there. The machined slots and grooves on the slide fore and aft and great for gripping and racking the slide. Loved the orange tritium front dot site with the blacked out rear site. Many nice touches on this pistol! Took it to the range this morning. First 100 or so rounds ran perfectly. I used my own 230 grain ball reloads. No failures of any kind. I had gaged the extractor at applying 2# pressure to a case rim the night before the range trip. For a new extractor that is good. It fed and extracted perfectly. Very pleased. I'll sound like the guy on you tube here (Old Path Traveler), but it is obvious that Tisas works to tune their pistols before shipping them out. That is very important on a 1911. The 4# trigger made it feel like an old friend. At 10 yards it hit at POA with three shots making a ragged triangular hole. My only problem this morning was a new Meggar 10 round mag I was trying out for the first time. I inserted it and it jammed itself inside and locked up the slide! That was disappointing as another one I had bought with it worked perfectly. When I got home I used a wood mallet to gently knock it down and out of the pistol. I was thakful I grabbed that one last to use! No damage to the mag or pistol. That was really weird. The other one I bought with it had already worked perfectly in it. I'll have to study that. I paint marked it with a big "?" mark so as to warn me on the next trip out to the range. Not an issue with the Tisas pistol at all. Just a mag issue. My other mags were a mix of old CMC 8 rounders and WC and other Meggars. All 8 rounders and a few 10s. They all ran perfectly in it. That was my experience. A couple nits and many picks! I also used 24 rounds of Speer LE Gold dot230 grain HP ammo too. Those all fed and fired perfectly. And I did NO polishing to the barrel. The ramp is already a para type cut from the factory. Beautiful machine work inside this one. Another good range trip like this and I will put this one into the carry rotation. It's a peach! This is my 6th Tisas 1911 this year. Call me very impressed by them all. Great service from Bud's too! Thank you for that! They got it out to my LGS very quickly!

This pistol surprised...
This pistol surprised me. Fit and finish are very nice. Grip and night sights complement the stainless. I have larger hands and the VZ grips give me plenty of surface area to get a good hold of the pistol. Not at all like the CC grips that come on some other 605 models. Cleaned and oiled it. Dab of blue Loctite on the two screws. I started by running snap caps in it to learn the trigger and break-in the pistol. The action just keeps getting smoother. Would 100% recommend.

Ordered shipped...
Ordered shipped promptly. This is the best rifle in its class of price easily. Bolt is extra smooth. Accurate. Good adjustable trigger. Only down side is it has proprietary magazines. But they are inexpensive and plentiful. It might be the magazine design that makes it this smooth. None of my AICS compatible rifles run this smooth and some of them cost way more. Plus my cat likes it. ??

You get many features...
You get many features of a modern pistol with the old reliability of that signature 1911. 300rounds into this pistols and not a single hang up. The safety is a little more easy to the touch then I would like however there are so many after market 1911 safety's if it bothers you that much I'm sure a few small inexpensive changes would fix this. A threaded optic ready FDE (Tan) gun with G10 grips at this price point you can't beat it.

The Tisas PX-9 Duty G3 was my first online gun purchase and I was not disappointed. The gun lives up to the good reviews and demonstrations. It actually came with more than I need as I'm pretty happy with it right out of the box. Shoots very comforably and accurate. The service from Bud's was fast too. I put this on a Glock 40 10mm I intend to use for hunting and, since hunting season isn't here yet I haven't had a chance to give it a real-world work-out but I've pushed it and the pistol pretty hard at the range and they've both performed without fault. I'll have no problem trusting it in the field.
