The P-11 has six main component groups: barrel, slide, frame, firing mechanism, grip, and magazine. The barrel is made of SAE 4140 Ordnance steel heat treated to 47 HRC. The slide is also 4140 steel, and contains the firing pin and the extractor. The rectangular frame is machined from solid 7075-T6 aluminum and houses the firing mechanism. The trigger connects via a transfer bar to the hammer and operates in Double Action Only. The hammer is driven by a novel free floating extension spring. The light weight firing pin transmits the energy of the hammer to ignite the primer. The functioning of the mechanism surpasses all applicable SAAMI safety standards. The grip is made of the ultra high impact polymer DuPont ST-8018. The grip also forms the magazine well and the trigger guard.

My main carry. I got the 12 1 magazine and I couldn't be happier with the size and reliability. Never a problem for me. Just be aware that it is possible for this firearm to be discharged if dropped directly on the barrel pointing down vertically. But the chances me dropping it AND that it happens to point directly down is pretty rare. But that must be aware of. And if you are someone that drops a firearm often, then you shouldn't be using one in the first place. Otherwise, I still trust it as a CCW.

So far so good... Give it a good cleaning prior to firing and it should be good to go. I've only put 100 rds through it, but it has not had one malfunction. I do recommend polishing the feed ramp though, it looked pretty rough. I used a dremel and 421 polishing compound

I ordered this gun on November 25th and I gotta say I (was) regreting my decision after I read all the terrible reviews on Buds customer service ,and I was thinking about canceling my order ,but decided to roll the dice and see for myself. I guess some people are just impossible to please because after about a week I emailed Buds to check on my order status and I got a response an hour later saying it would be shipped soon . That was on Friday, it's Tuesday and I have my gun in my hand ,its in perfect new condition as stated on the website . As for the quality of the gun it shoots great and I won't hesitate to use Buds again ! Thanks!

I give this three stars for the hard chrome finish. It makes all the surface imperfections stand out, only the front inch or so of the slide is smooth . Also, the slide is not machined very well on the inside, I had some slag in there and could barely rack it. There is a page of instructions at ktog.org on how to "clean up" the milling inside - so when you do that, bye bye to hard chrome finish. Should probably just get the blued one. The plastic sights had some mold flashing sticking out too. That being said, this is what it is - a very small 9mm. The springs (hammer, slide and magazine) are very stiff; I destroyed two snap caps breaking in the trigger action. This is not a smooth or comfortable gun, but it works, is accurate, and is small. The Mec-Gar magazine is perfect as expected.

I use this gun as my everyday carry gun. I have put about 300 rounds through it so far without a single problem - with several different ammo types. I'm currently carrying Corbon DPX in it. An excellent gun. Beyond that, Kel Tec's service department is second to none!

I use this gun as my everyday carry gun. I had a failure to eject so I sent it back to Kel-tec. The failure occured after 850 rounds. They are taking care of it. For free. They have a lifetime waranty on all their guns.
