I was searching for a new 9mm and knew the reputation of HK. While the P2000 wasn’t the latest model it fit my hand the best

Excellent pistol. Accurate weapon. Can't go wrong with HK.

Had 3 failure to ejects in the first 30ish rounds, have never had another one since. Shot more than 500 rounds of both federal fmj and hand loads, handles great. Easy to take apart and clean and replace the backstrap. Highly recommend getting an aftermarket mag release, the stock one is very small and hard to use. It's very easy to replace that too. HK's are pricy but you get what you pay for.

I'm somewhat biased as I'm a huge HK fan but this is my favorite of all my HKs. The P30 has a bit better grip but the P2000 hits every other point for me. As with all things HK, get ready to spend a premium on parts (45 bucks for a magazine...whew), but you should know that before picking this up. V3 is also my favorite, no safety, manual decocker next to the hammer. Perfect for SOB carry. The price is incredible too, local shops and the quarterly gun shows have this for 200+ more.

This is a very nice midsize pistol. It shoots and feels great in the hand. The only negatives I have to say are that the trigger has a long take up and a long reset that I found to be a very disappointing trigger pull. Also magazines are quite expensive

I love my new H&K P2000. Met all expectations at a competitive price.  In todays market you find many new pistols that incorporate improved ergonomics and refined tooling tech in design.    For the consumer in this current buyers market pricing & options translate into great deals.  My choice for this older model H&K P2000 was simply the company is well respected for quality and design.  Not the cheapest but market competition has caused them to sell for several hundred dollars below MSRP.   Nice trigger, well made, beautiful design.  Note I didn't purchase the LEM (double action only) model but rather the S/D action model.  Another reason I choose this model is its 3.6" barrel for better accuracy at the range.  Regards Bob in DE.

sweetest 9mm ever, HK nailed the ergonomics perfectly, I'm currently trying to scrape together the bucks for one in 357 Sig....

WOW...with the LEM trigger, this has got to be the best 9mm ever! Sig guys, put your stuff in a box and stick it under the bed, you won't want to shoot anything else. It's no wonder that HK got such a huge contract with Homeland Security. When this comes out in the .357 configuration, it will be my instant companion without a doubt. Do yourself a favor and check it out, then but it quick before the price skyrockets!!
