Bud's had the best price on this gun and the delivery was fast. I have read some reviews on other web sites saying the fit and finish of the Model 57-5 Mountain Gun was sub par compared to the Classic line. I disagree. The fit and finish on the Mountain Gun I received is great and it's about $200 cheaper than the Classic model. In my opinion the Model 57-5 Mountain Gun is a fantasic value. I am very pleased with it. The only down side is .41 magnum ammo is harder to find and relatively expensive.

I'm very pleased with this gun.

It was a very smooth transaction with Bud's Gun Shop....my first with them actually. Since then I've gone on to buy several guns with them and will continue.

The M57-5 Mountain Gun is a really sweet handling wheelgun. The 4" barrel balances well in the hand and it has a very nice trigger. I've been very impressed with the two loads I've tried for it thus far.

This will be my woods gun this year...hope to take a deer with it if one comes in range.

I've been a huge fan of .44REM Mag for 20 years. This gun in .41 Rem Mag has me rethinking things at bit, in that I may now have a new favorite caliber. It really is a sweet shooter.

The blueing on my gun was very nice, too. The grips were exactly as pictured. I replaced them with a set of Pau Ferro wood Hogues that fit my hand like they were custom made. It really makes the handy N-Frame shoot like a dream. I'm packing it in a Simply Rugged Sourdough pancake that is perfect for long walks while hunting.

I wish I'd bought one of these Mountain Guns years ago. It's a keeper.

Bud's Gun Shop doesn't play around. I ordered the gun one Wednesday afternoon using the online system. The following Friday afternnon my FFL let me know it had arrived and looked great.

The blue on the gun looks perfect....very deep. The double action trigger pull is smooth and the single action breaks perfectly clean and crisp. I can already tell this gun is gonna be a shooter.

The grips are as pictured. When I cleaned and oiled the gun the first time, I wiped on some oil on the grips. They really looked good that way. I think I'm going to strip them down, restain and then coat and recoat with polyurethane to bring out the lustre.

I recieved my rounds from Double Tap Ammo by UPS yesterday. I'm going to shoot this weekend and see how she does.

This is a nice looking and well balanced piece that will be a joy to pack as a sidearm while deer hunting. I hunt in riverine areas that have large populations of wild hogs. This gun may have the chance to take one of these or a close ranging deer this upcoming season.

I will be shopping with Bud's again. My local S&W dealers don't keep anything in stock and it'll be nice having Bud's available to help me continue with my S&W collection.

Wish I'd started before the "Hilary-lock" days!!!!!!
