Bud's Gun Shop came through with flying colors as always. The gun showed up very quickly to my FFL of choice. The pistol unfortunately had the front sight cobbled up. It did not fit in the groove. Which caused the pinned sight to have a gap between the barrel and the bottom of the stock sight. I expected a heck of a lot more from Smith & Wesson, especially for a $800 revolver.

This is a very well made gun. Excellent quality. It's all stainless steel, so it should last a lifetime. I like how the synthetic grips completely cover the BACK, unlike the model 642 grips with exposed metal in the back. This should make recoil a bit less painful. Unfortunatly, I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I'll post an update to my review after I can get to the range.

This is my third S&W revolver. The other two are 686 models. Bud did great getting this gun to my FFL in nothing flat. The FFL here in Wilmington NC was great as well.. I have not fired this revolver as I just opened the box two hours ago. Fit, finish and grip all get a ten. The sights get a 1 !!!.' They are small, not painted or colored and it's almost impossible to see the front sight through the tiny gap in the rear sight. I just finished ordering a kit for painting sights and will see if I can't brighten them up a bit. I know it's a carry gun and to used in a hurry, but these sights are a detriment. I gave it one star so readers could be forewarned. I'm sure the revolver when fired will be a five. Hope this helps.

Love this j frame revolver double action is great smooth trigger, wanted a good revolver that will conceal easily. This one is great , Buds makes buying a charm , get you one you will be happy with it.

I got this gun a couple of weeks ago and I really like it. I’ve put 100 rounds through it, mostly 38 Special but some.357 Mag. And a friend put through it about 20 38’s and about 20 .357. As a result, he plans to buy one. It shoots very well, especially so for a pocket revolver. I expected.357 to be brutal but it’s not. A lot more snap than 38 but still not bad at all. I typically wear cargo pants or shorts with deep pockets. This little revolver disappears in those pockets. This is how I usually carry. My friend was wearing common blue jeans and it concealed in his pocket as well. Revolvers are reliable. They don’t hold 14 rounds but they do go bang when you pull the trigger. This is now my primary EDC. Single action trigger is light and clean. Double action trigger is smooth and I can shoot it well double action. Finish is very good, typical of S&W.
