Purchased this as a back-up/pocket carry to my regular carry piece (P45 Kahr). As with the P45 it has not disappointed. I wish I had purchased the PM45 but at the time was a little concerned that it would by hard to control. This 40 Smith is very controllable and a pleasure to shoot regularly and was glad I spent the time for the 200 round break in period but had no malfunctions. When I first got the pistol I found that I could press the trigger all the way to the stop and it would sometimes not break, but sent it back to Kahr and they fixed the problem and now it functions flawlessly. I am still mystified as to why Kahr Arms doesn't get more respect and is not reviewed more often. Thanks Bud's your a pleasure to do business with.

I have never been a fan of DAO handguns......until now! Compact,solid and very manageable recoil . Feels great in my pocket. It is very comforting knowing that my backup has more power than many peoples primary carry choice. Oh and it runs like a sewing machine . Not one issue even in the first few magazines . Mine came with two five round and one six round with a pinky extension . BUY it from BUD's !

The Kahr PM40 is an awesome little pocket rocket. Extremely accurate up to 30 feet. I don't know how Kahr managed to tame the recoil but it no different than the recoil on a Glock 23. I don't think there is anything that I don't like about this little pistol. The low price is a super plus as this pistol usually sells for $500 plus retail.

The pistol shoots very well The pistol shoots very well. It is also very accurate and does not kick as bad as I thought it wood.

Extremely small package perfect for CC. I had trouble with the 6 round mag, the feed lips were too close. I contacted customer service, upon receipt of the defective mag they are sending me a replacement. Truly a pleasant experience. Other than that the gun functions perfectly. OK a little “snappy” but we are talking 40 cal 3 inch barrel. My model came with express sights which make target acquisition easy. Remember this is a gun for self defense not long range hunting. I would recommend this gun to a friend.

great little pocket pistol.During the break in period i had a few failures to feed the first 40 rounds.Since then it has been flawless with both several brands of hardball and hollow point ammunition.

This gun is extremely concealable. The gun does kick a lot. The recoil to me feels the same as a Jframe style revolver but it's much thinner. I believe it's more accurate as well.
