• Q: I just purchased a Taurus model 44.wondering if it will handle the heavy loads BB 300 GR and even hotter.?? With my job I've always carried a 44 mag Ruger Blackhawk 4&5/8" barrel and it had no problem with the max loads.but company rule changes required me to get a double action.i own several Taurus revolvers in 357 and 454 and they are amazing.just checking on this one.

  Hi Joseph and welcome. This would depend entirely on your physical stature. 5 foot 6 or 6 foot 5 makes a big difference. As long as you have a comfortable carry rig and cover your printing bases, you should be fine. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

• Q: Upon purchase if there are any problems can I return to Buds for a replacement?

  Hi John, yes sir, as long as you do not take possession. You must inspect the gun at your FFL, and if there are any issues, it can be returned for replacement or refund.
  Once you take possession, the gun cannot be returned to Bud's.

• Q: I know this sounds silly but the web page and the 360 view indicate this firearm is the M44 6 round (which I hope it is). But the large photo of the revolver is showing the .44 tracker. Which I think is a lighter weight 5 shot revolver. Just want to make sure that you are actually buying the larger M44 gun.

  William, Buds often uses the incorrect stock photo. This UPC code is for the Larger M44 - Taurus 44 Double Action Revolver .44 Magnum - 4" Ported Barrel - 6 Rounds - Fixed Front Sight/Adjustable Rear Sight - Rubber Grip - Matte Stainless Steel Finish.
• Q: Hello, I have many rounds of +P+ loads from both Buffalo Bore and Underwood. I bought them for a Ruger Redhawk that I had to part with.
  With this revolver handle these rounds?

  Rodney, the ammo you listed isn't listed as safe with the gun by Buffalo Bore. --------------------

  The M44 is Taurus's old large frame gun. I usually classify it's strength as on the same level as a Smith 629. -------------------

  It's your choice what you feed your guns but if you damage your gun with overly hot or long loads and try to ship it in for warranty work Taurus may or may not honor the warranty.
