DO NOT BUY this Gun
after 300 rounds and multiple shooters trying it this hunk of junk wont cycle more then 4 or 5 rounds. Tried over a dozen types of ammo still no go. Advice from local gun store is to use it as a paper weight.

Have been looking for the right 9mm PDW for awhile. Tried the Kel-Tec Sub 2k gen 2 and dumped a ridiculous amount of money into a $300 carbine just to make it shoot well. Unfortunately, that never fixed the odd / uncomfortable cheek weld required to get proper sight alignment. Almost purchased this back in Sept of 2019, but decided to try the Stribog. Another very awkward design that looked cool, but just never felt right. Also, the mags are complete junk! It’s like they built a Porsche amd then had Walmart throw some cheap tires on it. After a lot of wasted time and money, I finally purchased an MK9. I wanted something different than another AR so I was willing to try the other options. However, the platform is tried and true and ergonomically sound. It may not be flashy, but this quickly became my favorite carbine! Simply added an SBA4 brace and Sightmark mini shot M-Spec and within about 20-25 rounds had consistent 3” groupings at 50 yards. Might not sound impressive, but when you consider that it hasn’t been broken in, it’s still new to me and I was firing 3 and 5 shot groups fairly quickly, the accuracy is there. Also, admittedly, I’m still working on my techniques so in my opinion, it’s capable of much better accuracy. However, for a pdw, 3” groups at 50 yards fired semi quickly is not bad at all. Ammo used was primarily Remington 115gr UMC. I did test some Federal HST 124gr and the shots were just as accurate. At the end of first range session I put 300 rds of the UMC 20 of the HST. Not single failure to feed, fire or eject. The colt mags worked flawlessly and are sturdy. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering a 9mm carbine. I wasted a lot of time and money on other novelty pdw designs, but in the end, function and a proven design yielded a solid, reliable platform that’s easy to shoot and a complete blast! CMMG hit a home run on this one!

Excellent pistol! I had zero FTE/FTF with 300 rounds of brass/steel case ammo using ASC mags. Highly recommend MK9 for anyone looking for a AR in 9mm. You will need to replace the buffer tube if you plan on using a arm brace.

My new favorite toy. Everything functions as it should. shoots great. I debated building a colt style 9mm AR, but quickly realized there are some key components that may need some fine tuning to run correctly, and my build list got expensive real quick. So instead I let CMMG do the work.... and for this price I'm glad I did.

This is a great pistol. After a quick clean, I put 400 perfect rounds through it. Not a single malfunction. The ASC mag that CMMG supplies with this pistol needs the coating cleaned off the feed lips before use. It doesn't allow the bolt to go into battery, until a few manual cycles are done. After that, it works 100%, including the Last Shot Bolt Hold Open. The Bolt release closes the bolt, even with the mag inserted. This 9mm pistol operates exactly like an AR should. I was hesitant to piece together a 9mm AR pistol. I wanted a dedicated 9mm lower, I didn't want a mag block. This lower is perfect. Its a true 9mm lower, with no mag adapter. I would recommend this CMMG MK9 PDW to anyone who asks. Its an excellent pistol, quality in every way, easy to clean, has a very serviceable trigger, and runs perfectly.
