21 Brinell Hardness, that's what the box says. It's a standard-pressure load that will do 800-something fps. It is TOO HARD! I am shocked -- SHOCKED -- by how much leading the ammo has caused. Just 12 rounds was enough to totally screw up the barrel. Now I have learned the hard way what the reloading experts say: DO NOT use hard-cast lead at 38 spl/44 spl standard velocity! DoubleTap, that 's where I outsourced the expertise to, and as they says these days, DoubleTap was a TOTAL FAIL! How could these people produce a load like this?
