The Henry Youth .22 Lever Action is a quality long arm, reasonably priced. It should appeal to most youths graduating from single shot bolt rimfires, offering smooth and speedy reloading. Buyers should understand that this is not a light weight rifle, however. The Youth model weighs nearly as much as a standard Henry or other adult-sized lever action .22. There is not much weight reduction in the slightly shortened butt stock and barrel length. Many online videos show youngsters firing this Henry from bench rests and supported by table tops, etc.. This is because it is not comparable to BB or polymer pellet arms, which children handle easily. For kids unaccustomed to a 5+ pound rifle, this could be an issue. Also, the front sight is difficult to see in dim light conditions. Fortunately, after market fiber optic alternatives are inexpensive, easy to install and readily available. For youngsters capable of shouldering its weight for an extended shooting session. the Henry Youth .22 Lever Action is a joy to own.

This is a smooth little rifle! I bought it for my son's birthday, and he loves shooting it. The fit and finish is perfect, and the rifle is as accurate as my son is. I think a Big Boy might be in Dad's future... Bud's service was outstanding. Highly recommend this slick little Henry for your young buckaroo!

THIS WAS FOR THE WIFE. EXCELLENT FOR HER AT 5'3". THIS ONE WON'T BE SOLD. NO LEVER IS AS SMOOTH AS A HENRY. MADE IN AMERICA, OR NOT MADE AT ALL.

we love the henry. western and the manual action is a great attraction for the boy. he loves it and enjoys shooting it like the rifleman. smooth action, it will need a small break-in but maybe 50-100 rounds, with 22, that should go by quick. love the solid wood and feel. goes with our other henry rifles. buds is always a great option and great customer service. thanks hickok45

This Henry is very efficient, super light and very accurate. I'm very happy with it, the lever action is super smooth when reloading, and wherever you put your sights, rest assured that the lead will be there.

looks and shoots good. You must snap it closed like you mean it or it will jam. Its your fault if it does, kids catch on fast. Clear jams with a table knife.

I bought this to teach my grandson to shoot, and for my wife (she is petite, cannot easily shoulder and sight a typical rifle). It is the first Henry rifle I've purchased and I'm very impressed with quality, fit, and finish. Recommended!
