Nice pistol. Decent shooter. Unfortunately it’s a CA neutered model - mag disconnect and lci. Ended up trading out for a 9mm upper as time has forgotten .40 cal. Sold her before I fled that commie state. Thanks again buds!

The only complaint I have about this handgun is that there was a little bit of rust/corrosion on the serial number plate. But the handgun did sit at the dealer for almost a month so I can't really blame BUDS for that. I have shot over 100 rounds through my M&P and have yet to have a malfunction. This is my first personal handgun but I have shot several others, and I would recommend the M&P over any others I've shot. I will definitely deal with BUDS again, and would recommend this handgun to anyone looking for a comfortable, reliable, cost-effective, and powerful first gun.

I am very satisfied with my S&W M&P 40. I changed the back strap to customize the grip and I bought the Storm Lake 9mm and 357 sig conversion barrels. I enjoy shooting. I highly recommend the M&P 40. It is too bad that this pistol is falling off the California Dept. of Justice Roster on 5/18/2014.

Outstanding pistol! Very smooth. Very clean. The backstraps in three sizes offer a nice variety to choose from (I'm just trying to figure out which size works best for me as all feel great in the hand). I trust the S&W name and put a lot of research into this gun before buying. Great gun with excellent reviews and reliability. I can't help but get nostalgic for the tried and true US brands, and am relieved that there is still quality in both product and service. The M&P feels far better than any Glock because it's actually got some ergonomics. Recoil is great: nice and smooth even with the 40. Has the pop of the 40 and instills confidence in manageability and accuracy, due in great part to the fit and feel. 100+ rounds through and no problems whatsoever to report. Went boom every time. Easy take down and cleaning (without pulling the trigger). First purchase with Bud's and they cannot be beat in price or efficiency. Pistol arrived at my FFL in two days and was nice and clean and actually came with two mags instead of one, which was a pleasant surprise! I will be making more purchases from Bud's in the future without a doubt! You cannot go wrong with Bud's or the M&P. I am a fan of both! Was excited to be able to make a purchase through layaway with Bud's and was very excited to get it to the range. An excellent firearm without breaking the bank and with service like Bud's, it makes you feel like you're getting so much more. I really enjoy this gun and recommend it highly. For those who want reliability and accuracy and affordability, this gun can't be beat. Quality makes it a pleasure to shoot. Bud's makes it easy to get!

Quality and assurance are one and the same when it comes to Smith and Wesson's M&P 40. I personally enjoy the ergonomics with adjustable backstraps. Shoots great right out of the box. How can you go wrong with a "Lifetime Warranty." I now 3 M&P products, and will continue to buy for the simple reason they are fun to shoot.
