The Charter Arms Bulldog is the perfect glovebox or toolbox pistol. A thorough cleaning and a snug leather holster keeps it at the ready. While it is not a S&W or Ruger and dies not have all the spit & polish of the Champagne crowd, it is solid with tight lockup and a firm, steady trigger. Loaded with Federal's 200gr LSWC, recoil is unexpectedly mild and was able to keep 5 shots inside the center ring @ 10 yards. Yes, I would bet my life on the reliability of it. However, the sights leave much to be desired. I own 2 of these. I keep one in each vehicle. A solid "BUY" and Buds is the ONLY choice for me.

have not got too take it too the range yet however just based off getting a feel for it and holding it I am very satisfied, what I noticed immediately about this revolver is the grips, any snub nose revolver I’ve owned has always felt like the grips were way too small but this Charter arms bulldog is a fine exception, I can easily get a 2 hand grip on it (I could not do so with any 357 mag snub nose I’ve owned) yet it is still ideal for conceal carry because the overall frame of it really isn’t big at all, it only weighs about 19.5 ounces Unloaded so it is not heavy at all neither, so just based off my experience with it so far I absolutely recommend this too anyone wanting a snub nose revolver in a bigger caliber

Have wanted a Bull Dog since they came out in 1973….. and since then I had not needed one because it didn’t fit my needs…. Two months ago I pulled the trigger and bought one.. So excellent…Arrived quickly from Buds…during my examination I found a couple of minor problems….because of CharterArms lifetime warranty I called them… I shipped it to them on their dime and in about 10-11 days it was back on my front porch…Very very happy with results…a light carry guns with big bore…and so far on range works perfectly..

Bought this 44 special to carry while hiking. Gun is light and a lot of fun to shoot. I have ran 500+ rounds through it and not one issue. Shoots perfect, and carries well.
