I am a first time buyer and handgun user. I absolutely love this gun, I did so much research on it and was a little worried what I'd gotten myself into. I was pleasantly surprised on how easy it is to use and shoot. My son and I shot only about 50 rounds through it (all reloads), but plan on shooting 100's more. Bud's is awesome too, put it on layaway with no issues.

This was my first ever handgun purchase. After doing lots of research on guns and talking with friends who already owed handguns I decided to go with the smith & wesson M&P full size 40 cal. I could not be more impressed with this gun. I love it! Shoots straight, groups well and has yet to jam up on me and I have put over 650 rounds through it since I bought it. I also was super impressed with budsgunshop. This was the first time I ever bought anything from them. I placed my order on a Thursday afternoon and it was waiting for me at my ffl dealer on Monday afternoon. They kept me informed of the shipment the whole way through and they were just flat out amazing. My next gun purchase will for sure be through them and I strongly suggest you do the same.

I am a LEO so it goes without saying that GLOCK has been my issued sidearm for all of my young career. So when I read an article in about the M&P giving the Glock a run for it's money I was very curious. I bought this gun for two reasons, I know S&W makes good products and its a really nice looking gun.

I have owned the gun for about two years now and I only have good things to say about it. I have put a couple thousand rounds through it without any issues. It has really become one of my favorite guns and has even surpassed my GLOCK. I really was impressed when I went to the range with my M&P and my Glock to shoot a mix of cheap ammo. I had several failure to fires with my GLOCK but my M&P never missed a beat and ate everything I put in it.

I have also seen a few reviews in which people have had an issue with the front sight loosing the white dot inside. This also happened to me but there is a easy and lasting fix for that. I just took a bit of liquid white out and put a few small drops into the little hole. Once it dried it was every bit as bright as the original sight and is still in place after over a thousand rounds.

Ergonomically I think it's somewhat superior to the GLOCK as well. It's very comfortable to grip and comes with the different backstraps for differents sized hands (which GLOCK has also included with the newer generations)

All in all it's a great pistol, I love it and my friends and family who have shot it all love it. My department issues us GLOCKs for duty use but my M&P is my off duty weapon, I never leave the house without it. You will not regret buying this pistol.
