Overall well satisfied with one exception. The supplied clip was of lesser quality than the price point of the gun. Proximate result: ordered better quality clips ($50). I suspicion this was an intensional decision by Kimber as an upsell opportunity . If so, it lessens my opinion of the brand.

Awesome pistol! It had a small mark on it from the factory. Bud's swapped it out super fast with a brand new one. Excellent customer service!

I have several Kimbers and have to say they are my favorite 1911, I have never really had a problem with them or the Kimber mags as many have complained about. Maybe I have just been luckey, but over the years I have had 18 of them with no complaints. This CDP has to be one of my favorites. I also have a CDP Ultra in 9mm and it and the new 45 are the most accurate out of all of them for some unknown reason, even beating the Kimber Pros and Customs. Even though I shoot alot, I have to admit that I am not the best shot in the world. But the CDP's are so accurate that they make me be a lot better shooter than the others. Fit and finish is excellent though the black finish on the frame is not the best, it is sort of shiney instead of flat black like say on the Pro Raptor and Custom TLE. I had the frame re-finished on the 9mm after about a year due to wear and light chipping and will probably do this one as well. Other than that, I can find no faults with the pistol, it has had more than 300 rounds through it so far with no failures to chamber, fire or eject. To me it is the perfect weight and size for concealed carry, is tight with no rattles, reliable out of the box, accurate, easy to break down and clean and will last a lifetime with proper care. As for Bud's, I have bought over 40 guns from them since 2009 with no real problems and reliable communication and shipping.

Surprisingly light, great for carry. A fine pistol from the Kimber Custom Shop.

Beautiful gun. Took it to the range and put 100rds through it flawless. The next outing to the range i put 157rds down range with 5 failure to ejects. Not sure what was going on with it but cleaned it real good and we will see how she handles this next outing. Overall very satisfied.

Great CCW pistol. Buds was excellent, payment cleared on Thursday Buds shipped on Friday and I was shooting on Monday. What else can I say.
