Beautiful gun!! Great fit and finish,, total quality and I got it at a super affordable price

This is a great pistol. However, I had to send it back to Kimber for a tune up, after just 300 rounds. What a disappointment! I couldn’t get through a single mag without a stovepipe or a FTF. I thought that it just needed a few more rounds in order to break in but finally gave up and sent it back. Kimber did some hand finishing, polishing the feed ramp, etc and sent it back to me. The work they did fixed the problem and now it is right as rain. I am somewhat wary of buying another Kimber due to my personal experience and what I have learned from friends with similar experiences. We’ll see what the future holds.

This is my first of many (I hope) 1911 pistol, it is a very nice piece and attention to detail from factory is noticeable. Very easy to conceal and shoots great !

I traded in a long gun and purchased the Kimber. The trade was fair and the Kimber is all that I had hoped for. The steel frame makes the recoil similar to a 9mm. I am very happy with the service from Buds and the speed of the shipping. Thank you.

This pistol performs well, is reliable, accurate, and easy to carry. I like the unique designs on the top and rear sides of the slide and the grips. It;s worth every penny.

The Kimber Rapor itself is what I imagined. It shoots good I put ~300 rounds the first time out and it is as accurate as my other 1911s. The ONLY reason it is not getting a 5 are 2 things. 1) it took 2 weeks 1 day to ship. I totally understand it was during the holiday season and I paid by ECheck. The check cleared my bank 2 days after the purchase and it took another 10 days to ship. 2) The 2 magazines are cheaply made and terrible. They do not have the Kimber logo on them so I am not sure what happened. Why would a Kimber firearm ship without Kimber Mags? I have my theories but no proof. I had to apply a thin coat of gun oil to the inside of the mag to get them to work at all. My Mec-Gar mags are much better quality.

I had one of these a few years ago and decided to get another one when I saw it late one night on Bud's site. The pistol is as good as I remembered. Fit and finish excellent and tight slide to frame fit as almost always the case with Kimbers. Very nice to look at and handle, well balanced.I have shot a couple of hundred rounds with mixed ammo and had absolutely no issues. It is very acurate and has slightly less recoil than my other Pro size Kimbers with aluminum frames since this is all steel, though the aluminum frame models are excellent to shoot and a little more comfortable to carry due to the lighter weight. I can highly recommend this pistol and most other Kimbers. I have purchased over 50 guns from Bud's with no real problems. I have a friend that owns a gun shop and usually Bud's price is only $10-$30 over his wholesale price and then he has to pay shipping on top of his price!
