Hi point carbines are so underrated. I’ve owned two now and i’ve never had any issues with them. They’re reasonably accurate very affordable and they just work. This one came with a forward grip laser and flashlight. i got this one specifically for home defense. i fired some hollow points and 180 grain fmj with no problems.

Many would say “never buy a Hi-point”. Well I bought a Hi-point and I love it. This is a great bargain. I love it for the price point. Fun to shoot. It’s a little on the heavy side with the added attachments. No malfunctions thus far. I’m gonna continue to get my money’s worth.

Experience with Buds was great. Weapon came quickly. The only issue I had was the wait time once in the store! Of course, it was during the holiday experience, so even that can be forgiven. As far as the gun itself. The laser is crap, so not really worth paying the extra. The light and vertical grip, though, are both great. First thing you're going to need to do is replace the rails if you want to add a decent scope. Once you have a good scope on there, and have it zeroed in, this gun is accurate as can be. No issues whatsoever there. I've put over 300 rounds through mine so far and the only issue I've had is with Remington UMC. For some reason, that ammo will not feed. Every round jams. This, I believe, is not a gun issue, but an ammo problem. Every other type of round I've put through it got ate up and spat out without issue. Wonderful gun, great price.

For the money this gun is everything I expected. I'll probably never install the light or laser but I did put the muzzle break on which added yet more weight. Yes it is pretty heavy for a mostly plastic gun. I have a good feeling that this gun is going to be abused along with it's cousin the 995TS I ordered also. It is my intention to be very rough on both of these Hi-Point carbines to see just how much and how long they can take my abuse. At the range with 10 pills just to make sure it went bang I aimed 30 yards out at a clump of dirt and never came near it, but it would have been close to center mass. Neat toy for the dollars. 3 stars due to the cost of their mags and no higher caps available yet (that I can find).

Solid weapon with surprisingly accurate peep-sights. No problems thus far. For the money, I don't know where to get its equivalent, especially considering all of the extras that come standard with this model (the fore grip, flashlight, muzzle break, and laser sight). The only thing I would change about this weapon would be to increase the magazine capacity to 20 or more rounds. But I knew the capacity going in, so it really isn't an issue with me. And since the magazines are relatively cheap and available, it is not too much trouble to stock up. And as always, Buds was awesome! You guys have spoiled me with your efficiency, great customer service, awesome selection and unbelievable prices. Keep up the good work and you will have me as a customer for life!

Having owned a Hi Point pistol before, which was a complete waste of money, I was a little skeptical about the carbine. But besides the bad experience with the pistol, I went ahead and bought the carbine. I have to say Hi Point stepped it up a notch on this little jewel. It is very fun to shoot and very accurate right out of the box!. The laser and light are not worth the extra money though. I should have bought the plain model and added my own accessories. I would recommend this gun to anybody. And as usual the transaction with Buds was great. All in all, its a good gun for a good price.
